Works for me every time for years, only time it didn't was after I got a new passport, so had to do the first report after that in person, then online was active again, and will work for the next 7 years my passport is valid

I've been doing it on line for about 1.5 years.  No problem at all.  I find that if you do it on the weekend it takes a day or two to get the confirmation.   M-F usually the same day.

Thanks for the heads up about the new passport.  I'm getting one next year.  Maybe I can get the new passport stamped and the 90 day at the same time.  I'll try to plan it that way.

Not always, you need to go in person sometimes.

Seems like first time after return to the country is requiring it. Haven't been out for some time myself.

Thank you.  Another poster said he was able to do his on-line so perhaps depends on the Immigration office.

All I'll say is there is a sign on the 90 day desk in Jomtien saying that you have to do it in person the first time returning from overseas. I didn't bother attempting my usual online as a result, went in in person 2 weeks ago mid-afternoon, no queue to hand it in but a sign saying the waiting time was 1 hour. I live in the area so rather than wait just picked it up the next day when it suited me. Will go back to online for the next one as it has worked every time for me since I first signed up.

Drive through in Chiang Mai takes around 30 seconds.

They now also have a walk through window that also takes around 30 seconds.

Thank you!  My on-line has been working well, too.  I can't remember the last time I did one in person.

Nice one, logistically " drive through " definitely ranks in the category of never going to happen in Jomtien 😂

You don't need a tm30 if you always stay at the same address

That was certainly my experience at Jomtien, I asked the question of them before my trip.

Personally, I am glad they do have some control who is in their country, and where they are living, this is the reason most of Europe is buggered up, no control.

As mentioned above, takes 2 minutes online,

because bad guys report you think?

Not true. Sign was up in office just a few months ago.

The second paragraph is stating that if a person on a multiple entry visa or has an extension of stay and enters using a re-entry permit a new TM30 report is not required.

The new rule apparently does not apply to those on visa exempt entries and single entry visas of any category unless they left and re-entered using a re-entry permit during the original entry from it.

The law regarding TM30 states that the landlord, property owner or manager (in the case of a hotel or guesthouse) has a legal obligation to report the stay of a non-Thai at their property.

I dont have a printer..

The shop next door to Immigration only charges 5 baht to print.  You can email it and they will print it for your PP. Lots of other shops that will do the same.

Off-topic but..Anyone notice when you click on a new topic it takes you to the latest post vs the first post..was it not like that befioe the site upgrade ?

It changed during last upgrade and it's annoying. It used to go to first unread post which makes sense, now it goes to last post and you have to figure out which post you're up to.

Anyway, you can change it in settings so I changed mine back to view first unread

ALL foreigners staying the kingdom are required to do 90 day reports.

That doesn't mean they do it. I didn't do it for the first 14 years I was here.

All motorists are required to observe speed limits. That does mean they all do so!

Yeah, they do. Therefore they know exactly how much over the limit they are actually driving 😂

Not worded correctly, you mean staying for more than 90 consecutive days.

Some leave the country regularly so may not be required for a significant length of time.

I don't know. It just says incorrect password.

This is extremely unlikely to be a Linux issue.

You could reset your password by clicking on the "Forgot Password" link and follow the instructions

Then they're not 'staying' in the country are they.

yes you do. sign up in office.

Not in Phitsanulok. Had the same TM30 for 5 years, in & out of country, hotel stays etc. They even printed a new one out for me as the old one was getting a bit tatty. Even after visits abroad, on-line works for me OK.

Personally I have no objection to attending Immigration at CW for half a day four times a year ( one day of which I submit both the 90 day report and extension application). That leaves 361 days per year free of any such minor inconveniences. I have never used an agent, nor gone online.

1034 hrs at CW having obtained a one year extension based on retirement. and making a 90 day report. No hassle, quick and friendly service.

What is your immigration office? In Jomtien this is not true unfortunately. I have multiple entry visa and last time they clearly told me I need new TM30 every time I enter the country. They even threatened with fine if I don't do it next time.

Do it online!

Wish it was that easy/reliable. Last 2 times I got an unspecified error that just told me to go there in person.

Friend of mine pops across into Laos for the day to do some shopping, where do you think he stays.

A couple of years ago I went into Malaysia on the morning Hat Yai shuttle and came back on the afternoon one. About 4 hours in Malaysia but feel free to call it staying there if you want.

Almost EVERY Immigration Office has the OWN policy and way on almost all paperwork.

Yes, I have read and understand th English version of 4 & 38 of the Immigration Act and revised.

I have done my own TM-30's, as needed ( 5 years now ) as House-Master at my local office ( 10 minutes from my front door)  - 5 so far this year due to hotels filing a TM-30 where I have stayed on holiday and overseas trip.

I also do a TM-30 for visitors staying at my house, usually the 1st piece of paperwork they need for what they plan to do.

My local office also require a new TM-30 returning from overseas trips - I found out the hard way when I went to do a TM-47, they required a new TM-30.  Thankfully the officers said since I had a perfect immigration record ( 12 years ) at that point, they were only going give me a verbal warning - no paperwork or etc.

Living In BKK, I was NOT permitted to do a TM-30.

Quit Bit¢hing, find out what YOUR LOCAL OFFICE POLICY IS for ANY paperwork and follow THEIR POLICY.
