An incident unfolded on the morning of November 19, when police arrested a man accused of murdering his neighbour, a 35-year-old woman, at her home in Chalong subdistrict, Chang Klang district.

At approximately 10:00, police from Chang Klang Police Station responded to a report of a fatal assault in Village 5 of Lak Chang subdistrict. Investigators, forensic officers, local medical personnel, and rescue workers arrived at the scene to find the victim, identified only as Ms. Theerawan, or "Wan," lying face-down in front of her house. The victim, described as a tomboy, had severe facial injuries consistent with a machete

Preliminary investigations identified the suspect as Mr. Chaiwat, or "Big," a 31-year-old male neighbour. Authorities learned that the two had engaged in a heated argument earlier in a nearby rubber plantation. The altercation escalated, and Mr. Chaiwat allegedly attacked Ms. Theerawan with a machete, killing her instantly before fleeing the scene.

By 13:00, police investigators tracked the suspect to a relative's home in Mai Riang subdistrict, Chawang district, where he was apprehended. Mr. Chaiwat was brought to Chang Klang Police Station for questioning.

During initial questioning, Mr. Chaiwat reportedly confessed to frequent quarrels with the victim but did not provide a clear motive for the fatal attack. His statements were described as inconsistent, prompting senior officers, including Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Police Commander Pol. Maj. Gen. Somchai Suetattrakul, to personally oversee the investigation.

The victim's body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. Police are continuing their investigation to determine the full circumstances of the incident and plan to charge the suspect according to the law.

Feeling rather small now... rot in prison.

Another story of psychotic rage from Nakhorn Sri Thammarat.

Just ask any Thai from any of the other 76 provinces what they think of when that province is mentioned. I bet you it is psychopaths, murders and nought-to-one hundred rage with extreme violence.

What a load of excretion. I've lived here for over a decade. Best people I've met. Anywhere.

"Just ask"... blah, blah, blah. Do they live here? Do you? What DO you ACTUALLY know about NST other than click-bait?

Please re-read my post. I am talking about the reputation of Nakhon Sri Thammarat amongst other Thais. It is widely held that being a hitman is a career choice for people from that province. However, as you point out and as with most other stereotypes, it is probably highly exagerrated.

I would point out though that the way you flew off the handle there was a bit surprising. You wouldn't live in Nakhon Sri Thammarat, would you? 😃

I read your post perfectly well the first time. Just sick of people with no clue posting like they actually have something valid to say.

oh dear Georgealbert,  as gruesome as it sounds, I am not feeling sad about this story unlike some other sad stories we have to endure.   I guess the beer has numbed me a little today so I'm not as sad.

I'm not Tkai, but I'll have to agree
