A bloated body, believed to be that of a foreign man, was found floating in Sattahip Bay near Koh Ped (Duck Island) in Bang Saray, approximately 3–4 nautical miles off the coast. The discovery has raised questions about whether the man was murdered and dumped at sea or drowned by accident.

At around 16:30 on November 20, Pol. Lt. Santi Chan Humart, Deputy Inspector of Sattahip Police Station, was notified of the discovery by local fishermen. Rescue boats from the Sawang Rojanathamsathan Foundation’s Water Rescue Unit were dispatched to recover the body and bring it ashore for further examination.

The body, described as a large male resembling a foreign national, was found floating face down, wearing only a pair of blue shorts with a beach pattern. A distinctive tattoo on the left wrist bore the words “HOPE CLUB” in English. Authorities estimate the man had been dead for 3–6 days.

A fishing boat, which first spotted the body, remained at the scene to monitor it until rescue teams arrived. The corpse was eventually recovered and brought ashore for a detailed examination.

The body has been sent to the Police General Hospital’s Forensic Institute in Bangkok for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Authorities are considering several possibilities, including murder, drowning, or an accidental fall from a vessel.

Police are also coordinating with nearby stations to check for any reports of missing persons. Efforts are underway to identify the deceased and contact relatives or acquaintances for further investigation and legal proceedings.
