A fire erupted in the early hours of the morning of November 26, at a third-floor dormitory of Kanjanapisek School in Nam Chun Subdistrict, Lom Sak District, Phetchabun Province. Authorities suspect an electrical short circuit as the likely cause.

The incident occurred at approximately 01:15. Rescue teams from Sawang Mongkol Sattha Thammasathan Lom Sak Foundation and local fire services were alerted to the blaze. Nam Chun Subdistrict Administrative Organisation (SAO) coordinated with neighbouring local organisations to dispatch fire trucks and rescue personnel to the scene.

The fire, located on the third floor of the dormitory, posed challenges for the firefighting teams. Crews had to manoeuvre hoses up to the floor involved. After approximately one hour of firefighting efforts, the fire was brought under control.

Initial inspections revealed significant damage to beds and other furnishings within the dormitory. While the fire’s origin is suspected to be an electrical short circuit, further investigations by relevant authorities are ongoing. Fortunately no casualties have been reported.
