Irrespective of your rant, the safety of customers, must always override upsetting food companies or restaurants, in this case it appears no damage was done, but if a small child had eaten it, it could have been a lot worse!

Assuming that the customer didn't throw his weight around with the staff previously, accidents can happen. Not every misfortune has to end in a court case or a public scandal. In the USA I expect that the customer would sue the shop for US$XX million. Also, it's risky to report the event on social media in Thailand. If that shop is the only pizza shop in that location the customer might even be sued for defamation.

That is the American way.  The flip side is lawsuits are public and often this leads to change. The question is What leads to change in Thailand?  After 8 years here I have no idea  what  drives change in LOS.
