how many have false teeth in  LOS and are they any good

Depends what you want, dentures are relatively cheap but a full jaw permanent implant will set you back hundreds of thousands.

I am getting a single tooth implant (with graft and lift) that ill cost 180000 at Bumrungrad. A full jaw will require at least 4 implants plus the denture.

How did you cope with having em al out and eating something in the meantime?

You limit yourself to soups and soft foods until you get the denture. You then experiment as to how things go and what you can't eat.

Had a partial denture made for me at the Ram dental clinic in Chiang Mai. Still going strong about 12 years later.

A dentist in Australia said it was very well made.

My mum came and got hers done in Khon Kaen around 20,000bht she still loves them still fit well after 5 years better then what she had in Canada and a fraction of the cost.  Seems a good lab is in Chaing Mai for dentures crowns etc..

I have a plate with 7 false teeth. I love it! It cost me about 4,000 Baht, maybe 3,500 Baht, 2 years ago.

Normally, implants in the province where I live cost about 45,000 Baht. Maybe it's gone up a bit. I don't know. As for 180,000 Baht, wow! ... Actually, I'm surprised that Bumrungrad didn't charge you over 500,000 Baht. Their prices can be crazy for foreigners, I hear.

My friend went to a 'respected' place for a full set of teeth, he got the call to go get them 5 months later.🤔

I said, "Well at least they will be well broken in"....🤣

That's a myth, Bumrungrad isn't cheap but that have single pricing, unlike government hospitals.

I am getting top of the range Swiss made hardware, and needed bone graft and sinus lift. Go to Smile dental for the same set you'll end up 10-15% cheaper, maybe. Also I chose Bumrungrad as I have been using them for 10 years and for my first implant I wanted a trustworthy provider.

I also getting a 75% refund from my insurance. I wouldn't be here otherwise.

For me it is about age + price

Full upper mouth of dentures cost 3,500 baht  vs 7 implants cost 200,000 baht  this was a few weeks ago.

Age 74 cannot see the point of spending all that...  2003/4 had 3 crowns and 2 bridges on posts, so lasted  over 20 years cost back then 60,000 baht,  these days appears the options are dentures or implants

Problem as you get older your gums shrink  and whatever you have may well not fit well after time.....  Thai friend has just had to have his Implant re-down after 5 years -   5 visits + 180.000 baht bill

so if when I get them my 3,500 baht dentures need replacing in a few years it will not be a big outlay........ at moment all 5 crowns have fallen out + my 3 own teeth have broken off, so far 2 weeks ago had 1 root removed, dentist say's better to have 1 x root removed every 3 weeks.

My Thai dentist has many missing teeth due to spicy foods ,dunno if he does his own tooth repairs tho

Spicy food has no effect on tooth loss.

Find a better dentist.
