Georgealbert Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Picture from responders. A father was left in shock when he opened the door of his son's truck to find the 39-year-old critically injured after a gunshot to the head. The bullet had pierced through his left temple, passing through the right side of his head and the vehicle's window. Blood soaked the victim's body as he struggled to breathe. The father, identified as Mr. Thongbai, 60, quickly acted to stop the bleeding by pressing a towel to the wound before calling emergency services. The incident occurred around 14:30 on December 7, at a truck parking area in the Mueang district of Chonburi. Authorities from the Saen Suk Police Station and Tri Khun Tham Rescue Foundation rushed to the scene. There, they found the victim, Mr. Pipatchai, in a semi-conscious state, lying in the driver's seat of a large Isuzu 18-wheeler truck. A 9mm bullet had caused severe damage to his head. Mr. Thongbai explained that he had been visiting his son, as he did every day. Upon opening the truck door, he was horrified to find his son covered in blood, barely breathing. He immediately applied pressure to the wound and contacted the authorities for assistance. The father stated that he was unaware of any personal issues his son might have been facing. He described his son as a hardworking man with no history of gambling or financial problems, apart from his mortgage and car loan. The son had a wife and children, making the situation even more puzzling. The gun used in the incident was his son's own 9mm firearm, which he had owned for a long time. Emergency rescue teams arrived and found that the victim was unresponsive, though he still had a pulse and was breathing faintly. He was rushed to Mahawillai Burapha Hospital for urgent treatment. The police are reviewing CCTV footage and collecting evidence to investigate the incident further. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to determine the cause behind the event. -- 2024-12-08 5

jcmj Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Some people are very silent about their feelings and depression and stuff like this can happen. It happens all around the world but Thailand doesn’t really help those people with mental issues. It’s seen as a bad thing and losing face. They really need to start working on that. 1
