Chonburi Immigration Cracks Down on Illegal Foreign Workers in Pattaya
Picture courtesy of Immigration In a large-scale operation dubbed the “Friday the 13th Purge,” Pol. Col. Napaspong Khositsuriyamanee, Superintendent of Chonburi Immigration, led a task force from Pattaya Immigration Police in raiding a suspected hub of illegal foreign workers. The raid targeted Foreman House, located in South Pattaya. The operation aimed to dismantle a network of foreign labourers residing and working illegally in the area. Officers searched over 100 rooms in the four-story building, discovering a significant number of Myanmar nationals living there. The workers were gathered in the building’s parking area, where their passports, visas, and work permits were inspected. Many were unable to produce valid documentation. As a result, immigration authorities detained all individuals and transported them in nine vehicles, including police trucks and local public songthaews, to the Pattaya Immigration Office. There, officials conducted further investigations to identify illegal migrants, unauthorised workers, those failing to report their residence, and individuals wanted under police warrants. Pol. Col. Napaspong stated that the operation was in line with directives from the national police chief to crack down on high-risk areas and locations known for harbouring foreigners violating immigration laws. Special attention was given to foreigners entering on tourist visas but engaging in illegal work. “Chonburi Immigration remains committed to aggressively combating crime and enforcing immigration laws to maintain public safety,” said Pol. Col. Napaspong. Authorities have vowed to continue their efforts to eliminate illegal activities involving foreign nationals across the region. -- 2024-12-14 -

Thai teacher accused of striking boy’s penis with steel ruler
Evil teachers must be rooted out, shamed publicly, and punished. A prison term is appropriate for this creep, and then never being allowed within 500 meters of any school again. -

Six-Wheel Truck Plunges into Reservoir in Khon Kaen, Killing 68-Year-Old Driver
Picture and video from responders. A crash occurred early morning on December 13, when a six-wheel truck veered off the road and plunged into Ban Huai Yang Reservoir in Ban Hua Fai, Na Kha Subdistrict, Manchakhiri District, Khon Kaen Province. The crash claimed the life of the 68-year-old driver, whose body was later recovered by rescue teams. The incident took place near Nong Yai Khao Nok in Na Kha Subdistrict. Local authorities were alerted to the crash by a concerned citizen. Rescue teams from Manchakhiri Disaster Relief Unit and Ruamkatanyu Foundation responded promptly to the scene. Upon arrival, they found the truck submerged in the reservoir, with the driver trapped inside the cabin. After an intensive operation, the rescue teams managed to extract the driver’s body from the vehicle. The deceased, a 68-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was transported to Manchakhiri Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. The area around Ban Huai Yang Reservoir is known for its sharp turns and steep slopes, which may have contributed to the truck losing control. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash and assessing whether any mechanical failure or other factors played a role in the tragedy. The name of the deceased has been withheld pending notification of next of kin, with the investigation ongoing. -- 2024-12-14 ScreenRecording_12-13-2024 16-26-30_1.mp4 -
