Blue Car Owners Book

Featured Replies

I purchased a new Honda CRV in 2012 in Chonburi. A few years ago we changed from Chonburi to Kalasin, but I misplaced or destroyed the original book, so the motor inspection station wrote something like 'original book not seen' in the new blue book.

Now I come to sell or trade-in my CRV and the dealer said B30000 less as no first owners book and selling it privately buyers can't get finance as no first owner blue book.

How to get a new first owners blue book?

Your first owners blue book has been misplaced, destroyed, therefore you've been issued a replacement.

I'd say the reduction in your cars resale price is due to reduced market for potential buyers, most people will steer clear of a car without original book.

I recently had a similar problem. Couldn't find my original blue book.

You can only get a replacement and as the dealer said expect the value of your car to drop. Private buyers are wary also.

I was lucky. My broker kept saying they had returned it to me. My original blue book was eventually found at DLT and returned to me when the broker asked for a replacement.
