Public holidays and banking hours

We can only move your money during normal banking hours. So if you send money outside of those hours, it may take longer than usual. National holidays can also affect the transfer speed, so if you’re sending to a different country, make sure to check that it doesn’t fall on a holiday.

Does that mean normal UK hours or Thai hours, which can be 7 hours different? Thai banks close at 16.00, which is only 9am in UK.

Does it automatically show up in the bankbook and on the bank statement as an international transfer?

No.

So for me at least, I will carry on using Bangkok Bank where it shows up automatically and the transfer from BKK Bank to KBank is instant and free.

As for Wise, I am disgusted. They told me that my 2 transfers would be in BKK Bank at 14:13 today but the bank notified me at 14:00. I shall write to the Times about it,

I'm saying exactly what it says in my post. And that's exactly what occurs when I transfer money.☺️

In my experience, I can transfer money from almost any bank to any other at any time. They do not shut down their computers, and different time zones do not make any difference.

It is 17.40 right now, and I just did an instant transfer from WISE to Bkk Bank, which is closed at the moment.

Who were Wise's partner bank in this instance? BKKB themselves or Kasikorn?

I have been a satisfied customer of WISE for over a decade.

Today 14.00 hrs. they acknowledged receipt of my latest transfer payment and say they will pay the recipient on Monday at 14.00 hrs. Previously payment was forwarded immediately. Now they will withhold my money over the weekend. A disgraceful decline in service from WISE.

I did a transfer yesterday was in my thai account within 3 minutes I never do weekend transfers as it took a good 24 hours to hit my account my Thai bank is Kasikorn
