Can we have a follow up story please? Will he get deported asap as he should be we can all celebrate.

This is just the start of the high season and I noticed more younger guys up to no good.

I don't know that, these days, tattoos need to symbolise anything. I am content that they look good on some people and horrendous on others

To my eyes they look good on young and very sexy women, and they don't look the slightest bit interesting on most men, but that's just me.

Most of your countries low-lifes stay home in London, stabbing each other.

If they are in London it is more likely to be the non-indigenous people  (and I don't mean migrating Scousers!).....

I'm living on Phratamnak hills and have made the exact same observation; far between the half-naked drunkards that roam Buakhao. That said; the few heavily tattooed [prison tattoos?] Russians in the local gym looks far more scary than their counterparts inked-up to support [I guess] their local football club and

You mean the hard as nails Russians hiding away from call up ? Or the hard as nails juiced up Russians involved in organised crime like drugs and human trafficking ?

You should know by now that we only get a follow up in 1% of these stories. It is all sorted out by the police behind closed doors in a manner they approve of.

Occasionally we will get a follow up but your best bet is to try and find social media accounts related to the accused, his or his mates. In this case we have very little to go on. We don't even know if the surname Ezra is correct or is his middle name.

Scousers are always telling us they are not English.

Funny that but they all use English dole offices to sign on.

I am happy Phuket is now a lot more expensive to visit and live in than Chav-city (Pattaya), all the shirtless tattoo-covered rif-raf can not afford to come here so go to Pattaya instead.

It seems like they have been replaced by neatly dressed respectable wealthy Russian couples as I suppose they also want to stay away from such people.

I take it that you have never been to Patong?

The Brit Bashing that seems to be going on on Asean Now is, in my opinion, potentially verging on racism.  People of all nationalities, yes, including Brits, get involved in crime and other types of bad behaviour - yet I can't help but notice that when a Brit is involved, Asean Now seems to be straight on it.  I could be wrong but to cite just one example:

On Tuesday 10 December Asean Now's news feed into my e-mail contained a headline of 'British man among foreigners arrested in porn production crackdown'.  Clicking on the link revealed that the actual headline of the post was 'Thailand police crackdown on pornographic content production'. The list of those arrested included a Brit, a Russian, a German, a Serbian and 3 Thais.

Is this as I suggest, verging on racism or is it some form of algorithm that alters the title in my e-mail because I'm British?

I've seen quite a few similar examples over the last few months.

Why the focus on Brits?

I think because it’s usually English  language articles. Plus we are just trying to keep up appearances. We can’t have the Russkies keeping the worst tourists abroad accolade , we want that trophy back !

Well the one I saw asleep under a table at 11am on Buakhao yesterday wasn't doing anyone any harm.

This incident is one of the relatively bad ones involving foreigners. I mean, yeah, of course it is not as bad, say, murder or rape, but it is a lot more serious than getting involved in a bar fight, which I am sure many of us have at least once found ourselves in.

The problem is such incidents often reflect badly on all of us foreigners, due to generalisations.

But, I sadly wonder if this thief will manage to get away with just a slip on the wrist.

Like from every other nation  I'm confident some will have  encountered law enforcement in their home country if that what you ask but find it unlikely they are hiding; criminals are after all good to cover their asses

Yep,we first won that title in the 60's in Spain and proudly hang on to first place even in Thailand.
