It took the Tories 14 years to raise ‘illegal immigration’ to the level it’s at. Labour will not fix that overnight, but they are very obviously making steps in the right direction. 13,500 deportations and coordinating with Italy to go after the smuggling gangs by using the tried and tested ‘follow the money’.
