It's hard to figure out who the Bidens dislike more at this point, Team Trump or the Democrats who abandoned him?

Trump is still functioning mentally. The signs were there with Biden from the start, but his handlers did such a good job, no one was alarmed, till the debate, when the Dems went into full meltdown mode.

You may not like what he does, but millions will.

Time will tell…

But my bet is most Trump voters will be disappointed in the next four years… :coffee1:

I'm already disappointed by his talk about the M E. I disagree on everything he proposes.

As for the rest, if he scares the Euros and stops illegals entering the US, I'll take 2 out of 3 as a passing mark.

The House approved Johnson’s new bill overwhelmingly, 366-34, and the Senate was working late into the night toward votes.

This whole two-month waiting process is a ridiculous waste of time. Shouldn't take more than a week or two for a transition. Just get on with it.

Yes it is crazy, allowing him to reak havoc on the world and step further into this mad war, the only people who benefit from it are the weapons manufacturers and billionaires, who appoint senile leaders in there 80s to front up as our leaders, and expect us to swallow their feces

You seem unaware that many officials have to be selected and approved by the Senate before the new POTUS is inaugurated. If you think that can be done in 2 weeks you are dreaming.

President Joe Biden is facing accusations from members of his own party of "quiet quitting," a term popularized by Gen-Z to describe the gradual disengagement from a job without formally resigning. At 82 years old, and with only a month remaining in his term, Biden has noticeably reduced his public appearances, press interactions, and overall visibility, drawing sharp criticism from Democrats and political commentators alike.

During his campaign, Biden repeatedly warned that President-elect Donald Trump posed a "threat to democracy," but his rhetoric has significantly softened since the election. "It's just odd that, you know, he talked about Donald Trump being an existential threat to democracy for so long," observed Tommy Vietor, a former Obama aide and co-host of the "Pod Save America" podcast. On a recent episode, Vietor described Biden's approach as akin to "quiet quitting," a notion his fellow hosts echoed.

A Politico article exploring Biden's apparent withdrawal sparked further discussion. A Democrat close to senior lawmakers voiced frustration, stating, "There is no leadership coming from the White House. There is a total vacuum." Another source noted, "In conversations that I'm having, they don't even mention the president. It feels like Trump is president already."

While Trump has remained active during the transition period—holding press conferences, attending high-profile events like the Army-Navy game, and meeting with world leaders in Paris—Biden's schedule has been strikingly subdued. He has yet to hold a post-election press conference, and his interactions with the press have been sparse. On recent trips to Peru for the APEC summit and Brazil for the G20, Biden reportedly uttered only seven words to reporters, as counted by Politico.

The president’s silence during these critical moments has allowed other narratives to dominate. For instance, a misleading viral video suggested he got lost in the Amazon rainforest, and reports emerged that he missed a key G20 group photo while chatting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

Biden’s mid-week trip to Delaware further underscored his low-profile approach. On Wednesday, he marked the solemn anniversary of the 1972 car accident that claimed the lives of his first wife, Neilia, and their daughter, Naomi, by attending church services in Wilmington.

According to sources, Biden's apparent withdrawal stems from two factors: his acknowledgment that public interest in hearing from him is waning and a lingering sentiment that he owes little to a party that, at times, distanced itself from him.

As the end of Biden's presidency draws near, questions about his leadership and engagement have left many Democrats uneasy. Meanwhile, Trump’s increased visibility during the transition has shifted the political spotlight, leaving Biden’s critics to wonder whether he will make a more substantial public reappearance in his remaining days in office.

After decades of service, I wish him only well in his earned retirement. I took the same route after announcing my retirement after 41 years of teaching.  was fortunate in having a college president allowing my my last semester without teaching duties in order to wrap up my many community roles. and yes, you could have found distractors wanting me out of the way.

This may be an old fashioned notion, but this is what a presidency is supposed to be, not a generator of tabloid headlines.  The job is to keep the country running and headed in the right direction, not just a series of photo ops and boastful claims.

Both Biden and his wife likely voted for Trump, who wouldn't especially with Kamala as the mind numbingly stupid alternative.

Time is telling, and Trump scores another victory while Biden does what he normally, NOT much, nothing of substance, relevance, benefit etc. He is to his impressive credit not playing with a full deck though it seems. But everyone knows he's mentally challenged. Trump team meanwhile, including his crack two DOGE practitioners Elon, Vivek et al are making good things happen and President Trump isn't President Trump just yet, but soon though.

A lame attempt at hiding the fact that the house rejected Trump-'s demand to lift the debt ceiling 🤣

Government shutdown is averted just after deadline as Congress rejects Trump’s debt limit demands

"Facing a government shutdown deadline, the Senate rushed through final passage early Saturday of a bipartisan plan that would temporarily fund federal operations and disaster aid, dropping President-elect Donald Trump’s demands for a debt limit increase into the new year."

"So is this a Republican bill or a Democrat bill?” scoffed Musk on social media ahead of the vote." 😆

PS why would Trump require the debt ceiling to be lifted for 2 years as he promised to reduce the federal debt?
