Note that there were no Thai women arrested in this operation - not one!

Most of these foreign girls have handlers from their own countries based in Thailand that help to look out for them. The girls pay some money to the handlers and the handlers deal with the authorities. But it could be that the authorities want more money from the handlers now and so this was all to send a new year's message and to remind them that the authorities are the ones who are really controlling the game and that next year it's gonna start costing them more to bring their girls in.

The big change I noticed after Covid is that the girls on the street are no longer choosy about who they go with. Prior to Covid you saw a lot of Indian and Arab men being turned down by the Thai women on the street. Now, most of the Thai women are gone and the ones who remain are willing to go with nearly any of the ethnic groups. 
 

You also get groups of five or six Indian men that will approach one girl on the street for a lower priced package deal to do them all, one after the other. It's gotta be rough going for these women who are entertaining those low budget offers.

The suspicion was that they were soliciting which is illegal  and they admitted the offences.  There doesn't have to be court appearances, the police can issue fines.  If they dispute the charges they can opt to go to court.

I was in advanced training in the Army with a guy who was assigned to work in Turkey after training. I went to Vietnam and later was sent to Thailand, where I met him again.   He told me that the women's prison was where you went for prostitutes.   He also told me that the best BJ's were from the old women with no teeth!!

There's also been quite an influx of Africans in Patong and some trawl the main walking street (Bangla) in full view of the local freelancers and police.

 

Most are the typical big mommas but I've met two very attractive and slim girls off TF - a Ugandan (asked B3,000) and a Kenyan (asked B4,000) who became my regular - they are "built" differently to Asian women!

To be quite honest, I see very few ladies like they used to be 10-20 years ago. My infrequent visits to Pattaya 'hot spots' I see quite a significant percentage of the 'ladies' have become quite chunky. I guess it's the high carbohydrate intake in the diet now.

When I first visited Pattaya in the late '90s there weren't many chubby ladies.

 

But yes, I wonder how much the Africans pay to be able to 'work' here. They certainly aren't very attractive in my opinion and I realise that's my preference and not everyone is the same thank goodness.
