Housekeeper Discovers Son of Prominent Business Owner Dead in Inflatable Pool
Picture from responders A housekeeper was left shocked after discovering the body of the son of a renowned business owner, who was found dead in an inflatable pool with blood splattered across the wall. At approximately 09:50 on January 6, Pol Lt Col Tanongsak Phetprakob, Deputy Superintendent (Investigation) at Samae Dam Police Station, received a report of a shooting incident at a residence in Samae Dam Subdistrict, Bang Khun Thian District, Bangkok. Investigators and forensic teams rushed to the scene, accompanied by medical examiners from Siriraj Hospital and members of the Ruamkatanyu Foundation. The scene was a three-storey commercial building comprising 10 adjoining units, with the rear converted into a factory for manufacturing industrial rubber spare parts. On the third-floor balcony, the body of a 30-year-old man, identified only as Mr A, was found seated in an inflatable pool, covered in blood. A gunshot wound to his left temple was visible, with significant blood splatter staining the nearby wall. Next to him lay a registered black Derya long-barrel shotgun with a brown wooden stock, which was collected as evidence. The housekeeper recounted that earlier in the morning, she had gone about her usual cleaning routine and saw the deceased walking shirtless around the house. He appeared calm and exhibited no signs of distress. The housekeeper had briefly spoken to him before leaving to prepare for a Buddhist alms giving ceremony, as it was a religious observance day. After completing the ceremony, she returned to clean the upper floor, where she noticed what appeared to be chunks of flesh scattered near the third-floor balcony. Thinking it might be the result of a bird fight, she approached to clear it. However, sensing that she was being watched, she turned and discovered Mr A's body in the pool. Shocked, she immediately called for help from staff working in the factory below. Employees at the company stated that they had heard a loud bang resembling a gunshot around 07:30 but assumed it was firecrackers. They described the deceased as a private yet pleasant individual who showed no signs of emotional distress. They were unaware of how he came to possess the firearm. The victim's elder brother revealed that his sibling had been living alone in the building. He expressed disbelief at the news, though he acknowledged that his brother had previously exhibited signs of self-harm. The family had repeatedly advised and supported him, but they did not anticipate such a severe outcome. He added that the last time he saw his brother was during the company's New Year celebration, where the deceased appeared cheerful and sociable, showing no indications of sadness or despair. Although the family was aware that he owned a shotgun, once left visibly in his car, they had assumed it was a replica or a toy. The police have sent the body to Siriraj Hospital's forensic department. If you or anyone you know is in emotional distress, please contact the Samaritans of Thailand 24-hour hotline: 02 713 6791 (English), 02 713 6793 (Thai) or the Thai Mental Health Hotline at 1323 (Thai). IMO Musk's mind is an unknown quantity. I suspect even he doesn't know what is in his own mind. It's no wonder he and Trump became best buds, as like seeks out like. Future civilizations will theorise how 2 blokes that should have never got beyond blathering down the pub got to rule the world. -

Pattaya: Woman Dragged Along Road as Bag Snatchers Flee on Motorbike
Picture courtesy of TMN. A woman was left injured after two thieves on a motorbike attempted to snatch her bag in broad daylight in Central Pattaya. The victim, Ms. Saifon, 49, from Buriram, sustained scrapes and bruises to her knees and elbows after being dragged along the road during the incident. Ms. Saifon reported the crime to Pol. Lt. Saijai Kamjulla, an investigator at Pattaya City Police Station, in a visibly shaken and injured state. She recounted that the attack occurred as she and a friend were walking to have lunch near Soi 2 Arunothai in Central Pattaya. Two assailants on an unidentified motorcycle approached from behind. The pillion rider violently grabbed Ms. Saifon's shoulder bag and attempted to speed away. Acting on pure instinct, she clung to the strap of her bag in an effort to prevent the theft. This resulted in her being dragged along the road and sustaining injuries. The assailants eventually abandoned the bag and fled the scene at high speed, heading toward the Arunothai traffic light junction. Ms. Saifon's friend, who was with her at the time, later accompanied her to the police station to provide a witness statement. Pattaya City Police issued a radio alert to officers to search for the suspects along potential escape routes. Investigators are also working to retrieve and review CCTV footage from the area to identify and apprehend the perpetrators. -- 2025-01-07
