Jingthing Posted Sunday at 11:37 PM Posted Sunday at 11:37 PM A comedy? A holocaust movie? Neither. Refreshingly original hard to categorize movie showcasing the talents of Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin (yes brother of the Home Alone guy). 1
Yellowtail Posted Monday at 01:00 PM Posted Monday at 01:00 PM Saw "The Invitation" The Invitation (2022) - IMDb, and while it had a few moments, it was mostly ridiculous. 3/10
Popular Post recom273 Posted Monday at 01:58 PM Popular Post Posted Monday at 01:58 PM This may be worth watching, just watching e01 - I feel I have been watching too many “guys-in-black-suits” series recently. 1 1 2 1

It didn't follow exactly the same path, but close enough in many respects, however I will keep on watching it because I want to see what the original was like. Thanks to @RayWright for the heads up on this series. Very strange scene in Episode 1 where he's in his daughter's room after she's been killed and finds her vibrator (dildo) in a drawer, then takes it out, sniffs it, and then kisses it. Very bizarre and a bit creepy. 1
LosLobo Posted Tuesday at 03:43 AM Posted Tuesday at 03:43 AM Following a string of series showcasing highly intelligent characters collaborating with law enforcement to solve crimes—such as Numb3rs, Monk, Will Trent, and my favorites Ludwig and Patience—High Potential IMDb 7.7/10, also joins the list. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt26748649/ 1

It only has a 7 on imdb so not rated as High as High. I have been watching both High Potential and Irrational. I am also watching season 24 of Law and Order so have my fill of cop shows. 1

Jingthing Posted Tuesday at 01:50 PM Posted Tuesday at 01:50 PM So I watched this Indian film All We Imagine as Light and it held my interest for sure and I recognized it as "different and important" but in conclusion I just wasn't feeling it as much as I had hoped. I felt it was like a European art film. That was before I read this about it. That's what the Indian critics who rejected it for submission as best Indian film for best foreign film for the Oscars felt too. An Indian movie, loved abroad, is snubbed at home for Oscar submission : Goats and Soda : NPR Quote Deciding which movie should represent a country as vast and cinematically prolific as India is always difficult. Ultimately All We Imagine as Light was not selected, but the reason why generated much controversy: The judging committee felt that the film was not Indian enough. Ravi Kottarakara, president of the Film Federation of India, the body that forms the jury to select India's submission — told Hollywood Reporter India that the jury felt it was like "watching a European film taking place in India." Perhaps he was referring to its broody light, the lingering shots, the story's gentle unfurling. Anyway, who knows, maybe it will do more for you than it did for me.
Yellowtail Posted Tuesday at 02:12 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:12 PM It's been a while, but I like some of the Indian stuff, and really enjoyed "Delhi Crime" Delhi Crime (TV Series 2019– ) - IMDb Worth a watch, particularly if you've spent any time in Delhi/India. 1

recom273 Posted yesterday at 02:18 AM Posted yesterday at 02:18 AM @Mutt Daeng I remember you posting a few months back. I also use PIA VPN, I think it’s one of the most stable companies - I also received the $49 renewal notice, I had intended to renew, I didn’t enter my new debit card number and just let it slip (it expired in the early hours of today) - I then received an automated email for an offer of $39 promo. To which I accepted. lol .. I have been a PIA customer for a fair few years, last year I just asked for a coupon as a regular customer, “can’t, but you can apply as a new customer and get a discount” .. I couldn’t work out the difference (apart from the $10, that is) 1 1

Ranked at the top by torrentfreak last time I checked. 1
