Just finished watching Season 1 of Landman, with Billy Bob Thornton.

Having lived and worked in the oilfields of Midland, Texas, they got a lot of things right, even if it was way overblown.  But nobody'd watch it if it was 100% realistic.

Worth a watch, 10 episodes.  BBT is always great.  Looks like they're shooting for a 2nd season with the cliffhanger.

(Or maybe you had to be there to enjoy the show)

no i liked it too. and never been to Texas

I tried for same reason, TH, but didn't make it through Eps 1.  Just a silly soap opera for the brain dead ... IMHO

Also tried watching Zero Day, continued through eps 1, though I hate DeNiro, and dozed off during eps 2.  Might give a another go, since already downloaded them.

DeNiro one of the most overrated character actors out there.

Watched 'The Firm' 2012 TV series, and enjoyed it, till the end, as the 2nd big 'case', ends with a slight cliff hanger, and there is no season 2 ... WTF :cheesy:

Dope Girls from BBC is a six-part historical drama based on Marek Kohn’s Dope Girls: The Birth of the British Drug Underground. Set in early 20th-century Soho, it follows the lives of Kate Meyrick and Billie Carleton, key figures in the rise of Britain’s drug trade. The series, featuring Julianne Nicholson and Eliza Scanlen, explores crime, power, and survival in a turbulent period of British history.

Disclaimer: May not be suitable for those socio-politically or DEI challenged.

Also, regarding the production: Directed, written, and starring De Niro—not the No. 3 Best Actor of All Time (IMDB) after Brando and Pacino, or to some, one of the most overrated and hated.

Zero Day

Whole series has dropped.

Thanks for the heads up @Will27 so I downloaded and watched the six episodes over two nights, and I was expecting quite a lot more from this because the initial premise promised a lot, but delivered little. In fact for me it had a "lapse" (did they run out of ideas?) and a poor ending.

Overall I was disappointed with it, sad to say.
