Mennen: Do you still get on the stick?
Dear Folks, Is it still possible to get on the stick in Thailand? I have such fond memories of using Mennen Speed Stick once each morning, beginning back in the 1960s. What about you? And, do you still get on the stick once each morning, here in Thailand? Has the original fragrance of the stick been in any way altered? I bet it has. All good things must come to an end. On Amazon, I found that they do not ship this to Thailand, for some unknown reason; maybe due to cultural reasons or the fact that Mennen helps get one up for the morning, and maybe Thai culture is just typically slower-paced, in the AM? Maybe if more guys in Thailand were to get on the stick, then things might actually get ACCOMPLISHED around here, meaning things like solving the annual smoke problem and PM2.5 overload. If you want to know what it means to “get on the stick”, then watch this video. And, if you know anything about the fragrance formula and availability of Mennen Speed Stick in Thailand, then what is the situation as of 2025? And, has the product packaging been downsized while the price has increased? Need we even ask? I know that we all miss it….getting on the stick... Especially in the mornings, even before breakfast or heading out to the office. Best regards, Gamma Note: Latest rejection from Amazon. This seems to be happening to me much more frequently, these days.... -

Thai tax tangle: Expats warned of new rules on overseas income
Highly unlikely given that the Immigration computer system can't even communicate effectively with itself (as evidenced by the need to do a 90-day in person when returning from a trip abroad, in spite of Immigration at the airport having clocked you into the system so it knows your status perfectly well). The idea that there'll suddenly be some magic, working interface between the TRD computer database (which, like most Thai IT, will also be an outdated crock o'<deleted>e) and the dodgy Immigration system is in the realms of fantasy as far as I'm concerned. And anyway, if they were somehow to decide to refuse you an extension, for many people that would surely be the time to get the Hell out of Dodge and find a friendlier place to spend your retirement income, or just go the <180-day route. -

Thaksin’s Medical Leave Under Scrutiny: Protests Demand Reimprisonment
OK, but I have a Thai son, married and 4 kids. So I feel obliged to watch what's happening and if needed a couple of time I've mentioned my worries to my Thai son. Each time I quickly discovered my son concerned about the same item(s). -

Thailand Introduces Online TM6 as Tourism Fee Faces Delays
Not sure how the introduction of an arrival form they scrapped 2 years ago and obviously didn't need, is going to enhance the tourist experience or speed things up! The TM6 data was mainly used by TAT to justify their jobs it they don't need it...... they just make the numbers fit their targets -

Thailand Introduces Online TM6 as Tourism Fee Faces Delays
Also small and insignificant is the number of people people who get hacked just by connecting to a public wifi network. By now all traffic that matters is SSL encrypted, -

Royal Navy Submarine Confronts Russian Spy Ship in UK Waters
The Brits have a couple billion pounds invested in that sub. A subs best defense is stealth. Confirming your signature and surfacing (especially on a spy ship) to verify exactly what class of sub makes it possible to be easily identified in the future. This could easily be done by a surface ship while giving nothing in return. It does not take a maritime genius to figure that out.
