I've been using Harry's Razor blades for a few years now. Well... not too many of them. I only shave my neck, and do so every other day, but a Harry's blade, with a few licks on a strop, lasts me 2-3 months... without the oil. (stropping removed the oxidation.) Smooth as a baby's bum, with zero razor drag. It's the stropping that makes it work so well and last so long!  (As soon as there is any drag, I change cartridges.)

The only reason to have a beard is to keep your face warm in winter climates like Canada and Russia.

 

Those who grow beards are either too lazy to shave, (and that laziness is often demonstrated by their overall attitude), or they are bald on top,and are under the illusion that growing hair on their chin like an aged goat will make them look younger.  It doesn't - it just looks like their head is upside down on their shoulders.

 

As for those men who wear shorts (when not in their garden or at the beach), don't get me started.....

Beards are a personal thing. Doesn't mean anything besides that. Some can't grow them and some can. Nothing to do with being a man because that's all about how you treat others, especially women and children. Some look better because they hide a weak chin, bad skin or not handsome looks. Some women love them, some don't. Whatever makes you confident you use.

I, and most others who live here and in warm climates, wear shorts daily. What's wrong with that?

I had a few days growth one time. My wife asked me to scratch her back and I rubbed my beard on her back. She's been asking for that treatment again for a year. I guess some good can come from looking homeless and unkept

People wear, and have been wearing shorts for generations. Nothing to do with being a gentleman but weather. If it's hot, you wear what's comfortable. It doesn't matter what others think because their opinions mean nothing. Unless you are wearing clothes that reveal too much for a particular situation, like the church ,temples or a business meeting, you be yourself. I'm actually a well educated American gentleman, which means I treat women with respect.

I had one for over 20 years when it was popular back in the 60's-70's. My first wife never saw me without one.

When I decided it had to go because of 4 different colours I had forgotten how to shave.

 

These celebs with designed stubble just do not realise designer stubble in grey does not cut it.

I'm all for the natural look. Men and women both. A lot of women spend thousands of hours in their lifetime messing about with nature. Men not so much, but a considerable time though. At the barbers, At the gym. At the massage parlor.

 

Too much of this namby-panby stuff out there.
