Thai tax tangle: Expats warned of new rules on overseas income
If only if that was wholly true. Paying taxes in uk on income there does not mean u don't have to file a tax return when u remit it to thailand. Taxation in uk only provides CREDITS fir tax already paid in uk. It dies not mean that it is not liable for filing or tax liability in thailand. -

Thai tax tangle: Expats warned of new rules on overseas income
That date is long gone... That 'news' first made a headline in May last year. 9 months on, no real new development though. All we could ever hear was, the Empty Bark of the tax chief and these lousy accounting firms(targetting expats). -

Thai tax tangle: Expats warned of new rules on overseas income
Looks like a no brainer to me. Bank statements and a tax return. They need to update the rules with MFA but that is easy enough. There are plenty of tax returns with zero due for record only. File one. -

Chantha & Trat Provinces: Restaurants with floor seating?
Hello, in Chanthaburi & Trat provinces, can you recommend restaurants with floor seating? That would usually be a private picnic pavilion with floor mats, with or without low table, ideally with a hammock on the side, often around a pond. For my requirements, this restaurant should be within 80 km of the provincial capital and the floor seating should not be next to a busy highway. It should be open for lunch, not only for dinner. If they only have one showpony picnic pavilion and everything else is ordinary table seating, I don't need to know. I speak basic restaurant Thai and know how to get the food I want with the spiciness I want/survive. Sometimes when checking Google Maps for restaurants like this, a wrong impression can come up and I cycle there in vain, that's why I ask here. Thanks! -

Thailand Eases Long-Term Visa Conditions to Draw Wealthy Foreigners and Digital Nomads
However, aren't there more foreign workers in South Korea compared with Thailand (well, unless we include all the documented and undocumented workers from neighboring countries, but they look similar to Thais). I mean, there are a couple of neighborhoods in Seoul home to foreigners from various Middle Eastern, African and SE Asian countries, something, which may stand out more than even in Thailand. Sure, we have Nana here and there's Pattaya and Phuket too, but overall, you're not going to see a westerner or visible foreigner running a shop anywhere in Thailand, except maybe for Indians. Thailand has a huge number of foreign visitors, whereas Korea (Incheon) merely hosts millions of foreign transit passengers; most don't enter the country. -
