Thank you, Sheryl! That’s really helpful. I’ll definitely discuss with my dr. whether switching to a different statin or another generic rosuvastatin. At Fascino, Vivacor was actually the cheapest of the 3 or 4 options they had, but I’ll check around elsewhere.

Also, I generally prefer to stick to meds that are registered with the Thai FDA (it doesn’t necessarily mean “locally made,” just that they are localluy registered).

Really appreciate your guidance!

All of the brands I listed are registered with the Thai FDA

300 isn't good for 3 tablets, ranges from 150-300 in Pattaya

It is not recommended to split medications 3X or more. Even 2X  has a risk, albeit much lower.

Dividing pills  assumes that there is a consistent spread of the dose in the pill.  Unfortunately, the manufacturing process of a pill does not guarantee that the dose will be consistent through the entire pill. It could be more concentrated  in one part of the pill.  This matters if there is a need to maintain a set  amount of medication because of the drug's pharmacokinetics.  Statins can come in increments of 5. Because Tadalafil can be used to treat specific illnesses, an accurate dose may be more important than if it is to treat  ED.  It's not a critical issue for most people, but I do mention it as a caution.

You can buy a cheap plastic machine that helps to divide the pill accurately. I used to use one when I was on statins and I could buy 20mg for just a few baht more than 10mg. I wouldn't fancy cutting a pill in quarters tho'

Be careful out there.

Rosuvastatin is not Tadalafil (Cialis).

Rosuvastatin is for cholesterol reduction - as per the name, it is a statin.

High blood pressure (Hypertension) and poor circulation can create the need for Cialis/Viagra medication. If you take a statin, it works very differently.

But Statins can cause bad muscle pain in some people.

People should be very cautious about taking medications after advice from well-meaning people, but it is a significant risk.

People with hypotension (low blood pressure) or positionally caused problems when standing up (orthostatic hypotension) can be badly affected by Cialis and Viagra-like medications, just as statins can cause problems.

Russian Roulette (apology to the Russki's) is mixing different medications on top of a health condition.

I am a retired health professional, but I advise readers to get a medical opinion - even if you have had previous experience of medication but have not had a health check recently - we change as we age.

Stay safe.

I agree - always better to take medications under medical supervision.

I would also avoid taking any medications that aren’t locally registered to reduce potential quality issues and the risks of counterfeit drugs.

If you know anyone coming from or going to India, tadalafil is cheap as chips in the pharmacies at Delhi airport.
