Nice collection although you could fill hours with that.

So many spectacular ones over the years.

A pickup flying meters above ground over the central divider and hitting an oncoming vehicle is still my worst nightmare.

Just do not drive after dark as that is the time you meet the drunks, those without any lights on their vehicle and so on. I have been watching so many workers sitting down and drinking Lao Kao after a days work for so to drive home!

I see lots of people driving without any lights on during the day too.

When I retired and moved to Chiang Rai my wife did all of the driving since she grew up in this area and lived here several years before i could retire.  I spent my time in the passenger seat observing how  both cars and motorcycles moved in and out of traffic and how traffic laws appeared to mainly “suggestions”.  After about 3 months I got my license and now I drive everywhere.  Those months of observing were great preparation.

Daily, all day long, especially with the scooter habits. They never look behind them or seem to use mirrors.Trust no one is what I tell my girlfriend, because they will do things you wouldn't think a person would. Looking right at you they'll pull out in front of you while you have the right of way, and coming towards you, passing someone, they expect you to pull to your left and slow down, thinking going into your lane gives them the right of way.

Remember, just because the lights are on does not mean anyone is home   :shock1:

I found driving in Udon Thani and Phen quite exilerating  I just watch in my passenger side mirror all the time looking for pesky food delivery bikers . Driving around my village and town is ok except for the idiots that come out of small soi's without looking .  I lived in France for 10 years and Paris is way more dangerous driving than Thailand . I've driven for 52 years so I expect the unexpected and use my experience to go accident free. HOPEFULLY

I find driving during the day more dangerous as the roads are more congested and you have a huge difference in speeds and urgency of the drivers.
