Laptop Deniers is the name of my new band.

I was toying with the idea of starting a dark post-punk alternative band called "José Bidino's Rampaging Dementia".  Never got round to it, though.  🤷‍♂️

The so-called "woke progressives" are a small fringe element of the liberal side of ideology. The OP usually demonstrates his lack of knowledge by adding in "Marxist/Socialist", which just tells me those of his ilk lack what it takes to make it in the modern tech world, and have been left behind in the Biden-Harris economic boom. The guy clearly has no clue what those words mean, as Capitalism has been the hallmark of the Biden years, with the growth and prosperity to prove it.

In contrast, the fascist right is ubiquitous on that side of the ideological spectrum. They are also snowflakes, whining incessantly about "witch hunts" and "UNFAIR!!!!" and "Fake News" and other words and phrases they get from their bloated childish messiah.

They seem to miss the actual fake news, such as Fox and Dominion Voting Systems, or "stolen election" or "best economy ever" (when even before Covid 45's economy was in the bottom 30% of all economies in the US since the end of WWII). They're also deathly afraid of young Central American women who drag their kids and walk 800 miles in the hope of finding economic freedom and freedom from gang violence. If such women are "all rapists and murderers" (ironically stated by a guy convicted civilly of sexual assault and who the judge in that trial said was likely guilty of rape), the MAGAs should hope these women do give them a little nooky, as otherwise the MAGAs are Incels. By the way, proper immigration is a major plus for the US; the Lankford Bill would have solved many problems, but 45 needed an issue, so he told his lapdog Speaker to squelch that Republican Bill. The good news is after Monday, MAGAs will have a plethora of strawberry and lettuce picking jobs, plus janitorial work---even truck driver jobs if the deportation also includes illegal Sikhs---available to them, so they can finally get off SSDI, the major "employer" of Red States like KY, TN and WV.

Here is an inconvenient truth of time under Biden-Harris: the best GDP growth since the late 1990s, highest # of jobs created ever under any POTUS, actual infrastructure repairs, instead of endless talk and false promises, three times the growth of the average G7 nation since 2020, longest period of sub 4% unemployment in 64 years, inflation brought down faster than any other nation (the world suffered high inflation since the end of Covid), lower prescription drug prices, with power taken from Big Pharma, lower violent crime rates than under 45....the list goes on.

I understand that those who lack the skills and talents to succeed in the modern economy have been left behind. That is not Biden's fault, though MAGAs are incapable of accepting personal responsibility, weaklings that they are. And yes, ignorance also played a role in Harris' loss, since the oft-told lie resonates (47 is a true pro at lies, mendacity being one of his key qualities, along with being a crybaby.)

Well, a plurality took the election, which is still democracy. Of course elections have consequences, and the MAGAs are going to learn that the hard way, because if they failed to grow their net worth during the Biden Boom, they are only going to suffer more when every policy will be geared toward existing billionaires. Sorry, but 47 got all he needed from his cult---their votes---and he doesn't need folks he calls "losers" anymore.

The best thing about Trump winning is that you and your ilk will have to live with president Trump in your face for the next 4 years.

Trump...."conviction....for sexual assault"...??  You're lying again, spreading false information, AKA dis-information. Stop lying, you KNOW NOT WHAT you are talking about. Nobody could be so simple to believe you, but do show the proof of this "conviction for sexual assault", be sure your research refers to the "jury verdict form" and include this in your gaslighting about some delusion you're fixated on about a Trump sexual assault conviction....lets see if you can actually sort this out for once and stop lying and embarrassing your ignorant self.

Is there something like "the left"? And is there something like "the right".

Not in the USA.  There is basically just one singular party with two wings labelled “GOP” and “Dem”.  Those who don’t want to join “The Party” run as independents, and are thus marginalised, mostly ignored and viewed with little importance and relevance.  IMO, a democracy in name only.

The problem, especially in the USA, is the fact that voters have only the choice between two bad options.

A couple of months ago I made an online test about left and right. On some issues I agreed more with what is called the left and on some issues I agreed more with the right.

There is a big spectrum on the left and a big spectrum on the right.

And then there are obviously just bad choices of people who run for office. Some are demented, some serial liars, some just say what the advisers tell them to say, etc.

As far as I see the woke is similar to the extreme left. Most don't like them, including the moderate left. The problem with those woke idiots is that they have very loud voices and too many people on the center left are scared to tell the extremists to shut up or go away.

It isn't just a US problem, demonizing the 'other side' and showing total loyalty to the side one has 'always voted for' shows political immaturity. Both left and right have  their good and bad points and both sides have their extremists. Basically though I think it is correct to say that politicians of all colours are in it for themselves, they may have started off in their younger years with ideals and good intentions but politics is a dirty business and a gradual corruption takes place. I for instance have always been vocal against Trump, not because of his politics but because he is a totally nasty, childish, corrupt person. There are no leaders without faults but he is extreme in his ignorance.

Woke-ism is extremism, it was I think a sort of grass roots movement that was started by well meaning people, a collection of 'black lives matter' and 'women's lib', and 'me too' then steamrolled from there, politicians, ever ready to catch votes, jumped on the bandwagon and made it even worse bringing respectability to extremist views. What is astounding is that it gained such traction in the whole of the West, not just America which is well known for its naive political views, 'socialism bad, capitalism good', no grey areas allowed. Trump will certainly bring an end to 'woke' which is good. His term will be one of chaos, not because of what he is but because of the world wide economic collapse, the death knell of Fiat currencies and this in itself may have signaled the end of woke by itself, hunger beats ideology.

What "unadulterated dross"? The guy has been on the factually accurate side of every major issue going back many years, at great personal risk to his posting abilities. If you want to be better informed about political realities you would be well served to study his postings.

Listening to those that wanted people held down and forcefully jabbed, laptop deniers, people that called govt collusion with big tech to censor conservatives etc you will be very disinformed. Unlike Riclag.

You've got to be joking...

As a Democrat, I despise PC. And it is just one of the reasons why the Dems totally failed in the recent election. And I also hate social justice authoritarianism. I think it represents alot of what is wrong with contemporary culture, and especially America today. It is a major form of weakness, when you allow yourself to be easily offended, and take everything personally. Granted, there are things that can be perceived as offensive, but allowing yourself to be offended by tiny little things people say and do is a bit much! But, the people who are offended daily, by things others say, are just weak, and would benefit by growing thicker skin. Life can be rough and caustic at times, and for those of us who have grown thick skin, it is like water off a ducks back. No big deal, at all. Think what you want to think. It just does not mean anything to those with self esteem, and a sense of who and what they are. Granted, these are just my opinions, and some will take offense to them. LOL.

The US is by far the most tolerant country in the world when it comes to the whole trans, non-binary, amorosexual, decide whatever you want today, if it fits mentality. No other country is as loose, driftless, and as silly as the US. Except perhaps the UK.

The notion that political correctness has “gone mad” is familiar to anyone who follows even vaguely any aspect of modern political or cultural life. The phrase, ostensibly referring to language or action that is designed to avoid offence or harm to protected groups, has become a sharp criticism. It is synonymous with a sort of cultural McCarthyism, usually committed by the left.

https://www.economist.com/open-future/2018/09/10/has-political-correctness-gone-too-far

A Rasmussen poll found that 71 percent of Americans think political correctness is a problem today. When is being politically correct more about civility and politeness? When when does it veer into censorship? When is it justified? When is it not justified?

You got to laugh at the Yanks. Both sides are right of Attila the Hun The only difference is that the GOP is further right. Marxism has been abandoned by both China and Russia but they still bring it up to demonize them.

Far as I'm concerned the only difference between us and China/ Russia is that the west pretends to have democracy when it doesn't, while China/ Russia don't bother with the pretense.

Nobody ever asked me or anyone I know what we wanted from society- we just get forced to go along with whatever the people in control want.

So the J6 'walk in the park' wasn't rioting?

They were just tourists, peacefully demonstrating. Thus, it was determined by citizen Grand Juries determining there was enough evidence to call for a trial and then a separate citizen Trial Jury determine guilty of breaking the applicable laws. Katie, bar the door ...

I guess back in the day I was a leftie.

I marched and protested the Vietnam war.

When I came back from my walk on part in the war, I was a bit dismayed that the (what had become) “they” had started protesting about ecology.

It went on and on from there and eventually got DumbJoe and Ms Cackle elected, DEI, topless guys with boobs whooping it up on the White House lawn and too much more to mention.

I’m kinda sorry for my insignificant part in the start of it all.

But, I am glad that Ladyboys (not “transsexuals”) are ripping off gold from the Indians on Pattaya Beach.

With luck this woke-ism is going the way of all fads

The left is now more unpopular worldwide than any time since the Cold War..

The lefts declining popularity is only expected to continue...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Simply because they have done More Harm Than Good all over the 1st world in the past decade.

Doing their best to destroy  own society From Inside.

That's the first and biggest reason behind the current change.

Twisting the Normal and Abnormal awfully.

Promoting the takeover of the system by the Cunning Minority; only interested in engineering the world to maximize own gain.

Eventually, too many people got sick and tired of the Nonsense they force 24/7, round the clock, around the glove.

One most important thing in this world: Proper Balance, AKA Happy Medium.

But they have gone Too Far.

Well beyond the limit people can put up with.

And now, they are just facing their Own Consequences...

Great to know that Ordinary People in the Free World still retained the energy and passion to pursue justice: The courage to stand up and say No to the lunacy of Peacetime Fascism by the Extreme Left.
