Popular Post snoop1130 Posted January 22 Popular Post Posted January 22 Photo courtesy of KhaoSod English By Puntid Tantivangphaisal A Russian tourist’s harmless social media livestream took a violent turn on Pattaya Beach when a local woman, mistakenly believing she was being filmed, assaulted him in a dramatic scene outside the Pattaya City Police Station. The incident unfolded in the early hours of today, when Evgenii, a 45 year old Russian national, was livestreaming near Pattaya Beach. Standing by a coconut tree, the woman became enraged, accusing him of filming her without consent. Despite her companions’ efforts to calm her down, she charged across the street, pulling Evgenii off balance and causing minor injuries to his knee. Evgenii reported the assault to Pattaya City Police at 4.30am, presenting video evidence from his livestream to prove he had not targeted the woman. Police confirmed the footage showed no breach of privacy, leading them to press charges against the woman for assault causing bodily harm. Under Thai law, the offence carries penalties of up to three years imprisonment, a fine of up to 60,000 baht, or both. The case has reignited concerns over Pattaya’s beach areas, often frequented by women colloquially referred to as “coconut tree girls,” who solicit foreign tourists. Recent regulatory changes, introduced by the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security in October 2023, have shifted the handling of prostitution-related cases from police to civil authorities. Officers now document such incidents and forward cases for further investigation, emphasising community-based resolutions. While police aim to maintain public order and protect the city’s tourism image, this incident underscores ongoing tensions between tourists and locals, reported KhaoSod English. Popular Post Scouse123 Posted January 22 Popular Post Posted January 22 There are too many people walking around setting up YouTube channels, and invading peoples personal spaces. However, there is no reason for over the top behaviour by immature clowns, who don't know how to communicate in a rational manner. 3 3

factual monk Posted January 22 Posted January 22 "The case has reignited concerns over Pattaya’s beach areas, often frequented by women colloquially referred to as “coconut tree girls,” who solicit foreign tourists." But I was told... that Prostitution is illegal in Pattaya... 😆 🤣 😂 😹 1 1
Popular Post Jack Hammer Posted January 22 Popular Post Posted January 22 Said woman claims she was being photographed by the Russian tourist Evgenii. Pattaya police dismissed the women’s claims after a search of Evgenii photographic equipment revealed he did not have a wide angle lens to capture an image of the woman Check out the photo, no wonder she was still there till 4:30 AM in the morning, with no customer 1 3 1

Well, that's Pattaya. About time, 50-year-old women grew old gracefully and stopped thinking they can flog their fat backsides and droopy tits, without getting noticed by social media.😆 8

Popular Post PomPolo Posted January 22 Popular Post Posted January 22 She'd have to beat up every bar owner in Pattaya if she didn't want to get filmed on CCTV without her consent. Looks like she got filmed anyways without her consent beating the cr4p out of someone that wasn't filming her without her consent, I do love life's ironies! No sympathy for these you tubers though that walk around live streaming to try and get subscribers and money to stay in the LOS, go home, save up and come back! 1 1 1
sammieuk1 Posted January 22 Posted January 22 On the bright side they were all perfectly safe on the zebra crossing, that now could be renamed the coconut zone for any future alterations 🤔

Popular Post wensiensheng Posted January 22 Popular Post Posted January 22 What about all the videos from locals filming tourists in compromising positions without their consent and which then go viral and outrage netizens? THAT seems to be allowed since it happens frequently. 4

Popular Post PJ71 Posted January 23 Popular Post Posted January 23 I'm surprised you don't read more about these "content creators / bloggers / vloggers / youtubers / live streamers" getting attacked more often, total scumbags. 1 3
Popular Post rvdk Posted January 23 Popular Post Posted January 23 Yes, I had enough of all those "influencers" on Youtube. Why do you think we want to be filmed? He deserves a good punch. 3
