Trump 2.0 -- Exponentially more damaging than Trump 1.0
Those are astounding numbers, especially as network polling is always a few points shy of actual results for anything 'Trump'. The 53 percent 'approval rating' is his highest ever, which means it's a few points higher. The guy played it pretty much straight giving his report. That's progress. But the anchorette looked like she'd rather be anywhere else on a Sunday morning. -

Farage’s Reform UK Surges as Tory Voters Defect in Droves
Vance is a big investor in fetal stem cell research, so I will guess you will welcome his stealthy sudden reversal of Trump's abortion policy. Thats where fetal stem cells come from. He'll also come out as a secret Hindu when he needs to take the oath. Musk is not allowed to run as Vice President. -

Farage’s Reform UK Surges as Tory Voters Defect in Droves
So you are about 100 years old and making things up. Or you are 20 something and making things up. For 5 out of 10 years in the 70s it was Tories, so your Google-Fu fails as you create an imagined past to make a forum post. If you are 100 years old, its forgiveable that you confused the 2 year Wilson served, before resignation, likely due to early onset AD, and Callahagn. 1973 was the really terrible year, and was the main reason Heath couldn't form a majority government in 1974. Wilson's premiership was marked by the EC Referendum, securing a majority in a snap election. Heath had cut the top rate f tax, which Wilson partially reversed. The disaster of the 1970s was fueled by the Tories response to the oil crisis to increase inflation to double digits, to boost growth. A mess all round. The Starmer government is only the second Labour government since 1979 (counting Blair/Brown as one) And we British never refer to ourselves as "guy", so I don't think you are even British. If you were a "young man" when Wilson was relected in 1974, that you make you about 75-80 now, an old man, born about 1950-55. The Labour front bench was packed full of full of your working class heroes, such as Two Jags Prescott, Derek Skinner. There was a lot of "Old Labour" then. You must have missed the whole Derek Hatton saga, unless you view Hatton as a hero. The decline in Working Class representation occurred after 1998. Its a lie to suggest that before 1998 there were no working class Labour MPs. Hence, you are really under 30, or you have a deficient memory. -

Really big and good news about Social Security Form SSA-7162 (proof of life) filing
Fellow Americans -- red, blue and purple -- I've got a real scoop. It is insider information from a social security employee. who has actual experience with this new filing option. I don't know if it's been widely published yet. But here goes. If you're a social security benefits recipient and you have a NON-U.S. address on record with S.S., as you know you must file a SSA-7162 form annually to avoid benefits cutoff. If you have a U.S. address on record, this topic does not concern you. This has meant the only option was receiving the physical form in the mail and sending it back. No online option. The forms are sent two times a year, but the second time only if they didn't get the first time form back. If they haven't received your form for the previous year, then they cut off your benefits starting February. Then you've got the hassle of trying to fix that. Well Social Security understanding the unreliability of many mail systems internationally has a new and easy way to resolve this. CALL social security and they will ask you the same questions on the form, and file the form even without the physical document or signature. As far as I know, this definitely will work IF you've been cut off in February. However, what if you never got the second mailing and you don't want to wait until being cut off? I'm pretty sure it will work in that scenario as well. I do suggest filing your forms as you have been IF you are getting them in the mail. However, if you don't get the second expected form, by all means DO call Social Security before cut off date. Social security is calling this new PHONE option attestation which is probably mostly about doing the signature over the phone rather than physically. I am confident this information is accurate for now. I can't predict the future as to whether this new option will be taken away (or even improved with online filing for all) given the state of rapid destruction and radical change in all federal government agencies. I also think it's fair to assume it's going to become even harder to reach an agent if you do need to call them (fewer staff). -
