Hi Guys

I have a Non-O visa and might be out of the country when my next 30 day report is due. A friend mentioned this will void the visa, is that true? It wouldn't be a case of upon returning, a passport could be shown and then you start the process of actually being in Thailand to commence with the 90 day reports again?

BTW... I know it's Thailand so I have no presumptions regarding this.

Thanks for your responses.

The 90-day report has nothing to do with your permission to stay. They are quite separate matters.

Since you are out of the country when your 90-day report is due, there is no requirement to report. You report only if you are still in the country.

When you return to Thailand, a new 90-day period begins. (Your arrival date is day one.)

Do you have a 1-year extension of permission to stay?

And more importantly, do you have a re-entry permit?

My guess is that you have a 12 month permission of stay.

The typo of 30 day report is referring to TM47 90 day report.

That is due when being in Thailand for 90 continuous days.

Every time you exit Thailand the 90 count stops and resets upon reentry.

As a example I didn't make a 90 day report for 7 years prior to covid due to travel.

You must have purchased a reentry permit prior to exit.

It's half page stamp in your pp.

Check it out.

Sure, but if the Exit/ Re-entry stamp has not been used does it change anything about 90 day reporting?

Without a reentry permit he would have been given visa exempt stamp.

In any event his 90 day count will commence date of entry to Thailand.

Void your visa?  Nope.

As DrJack mentioned, if you're on a Exit stamp, 90 days resets when you re-enter. 90 day reporting is based on you being in Thailand.

Why would you have a re-entry stamp if NOT using it?

Stamp does NOT reset the 90 days if you stay in Th.

That stamp gives you permission to re-enter Th without loosing your NON-O status

If you PHYSICALLY stay IN COUNTRY for 90 straight days, the 90 day report is due on ( can be done 5 days before ) the date on the 90 paper.

ALSO

Depending on the LOCAL OFFICE POLICY, if you leave Th, you might have to do a new TM-30 even if returning to same address
