Love them or hate them, look at the numbers following them and the money they earn as a result and its clear why they do it, for many its simply easy money. Its a role a persona they adopt purely for the follows.

Mr. Beast makes a fortune, that's a given.

These Thai youtuber goons make a pittance in comparison.

I wouldn't even get out of bed in the morning for what most of them make a month.

I make and post videos on YouTube. It's a hobby, and a way of staying mentally active. I don't make money from it.

My videos are a different genre to the people who cruise the streets of Bangkok and Chiang Mai with a camera.

My best result was 53,000 views.

How about a link to your channel. Maybe we like it.

I've met a few of these types before and my god do they think they are something. Walking around all day with their crappy cameras talking rubbish, sat at the bar filming themselves thinking they are celebrities... if they ever turn the camera on me they are getting a face full of beer! That should make some great content, eh fellas!!

There is one guy I like though and watch his stuff regularly. All I will say is he is Irish and is spot on about most things, but most of the others I steer clear of.

Theres two real characters that are active on tik-tok and they are the biggest pair of plonkers I have ever seen in my life. Why people follow these and cheer them up is totally beyond me.

De Irish man is either Paddy from the Times or that nut job in Rachada who ran away from Ireland after serving a sentence for trying to kill his Mrs. I prefer Paddy, though he does interview some laughable losers. Avoid any in Pattaya, one or 2 decent ones in CM, James Abroad is good at times and Dan in Buri Ram doing the ever popular foreigners fleeced by bar girl stories.

An amusing one from Paddy showing footage of big mouth Steve Rosse having a scrap after telling another American to f off, as bad as each other. Scrap is at about 16 mins, one of Steves enduring stories is thinking every day about an 18 year old he knew 30+ years ago!

Out of the westerners in Thailand Youtubers, I like

Comrade Mickey Stotch .. is the only one I watch, and not when he's in Bangkok, just doing food.   When he's O&A in different places, like now, doing camping up North.

Actually motivated me to pop up after rainy season starts; Chiang Rai, Fang, Golden Triangle.  Haven't been above CR since 2009.  Worse, it's always been smog season, so missed quite a quite.

That will probably be my last trip up North, which I thought I had already done 🙄

I hope people realize it is mostly a scam.

Many of them buy everything.   There are several websites where they can buy subscribers, likes, views.  You Tube is aware of this, but enforces nothing.

Also, there are websites where you can check the algorithms.  Seeing how they might go a period of time with nothing, then suddenly 500 subscribers are added to their account in one day because they bought them.  Buying to make themselves feel important.

It is a joke when you see them with 20,000 subscribers, but when they do a live stream maybe 100 people are watching.  Liars and cheaters the lot of them I actually think they should be banned many exploiting Thai people it is so arrogant and disgusting.

This Irish guy can be very entertaining.  He's heading for a mental breakdown if you ask me and the poor guy is in a real bad spot. Had a kid with a woman (who earns more than him and appears to really dislike him from what I can gather) and has to fight rush hour in Bangkok to take him to school.

The worst part is his wife's family house in Pathumthani they go to on the weekends. It looks so horrible and depressing out there. He's way too deep in with her family too. No private time.

All in all a nightmare. I hope he makes it out but until then I predict he's going to get more and more agitated. Good luck to him, he needs it.

I watched one a few years ago of a guy (with the video camera) posing that he was interested in renting a room - happened to be an upstairs room. He was following the young lady - showing the room - up the stairs constantly videoing her alpha romeo sierra echo; who an absolute you-know-what.

That video sparked some serious drama. He mention another YouTuber (Dr. Mark Sabeen or something) and this promoted him to make a  response. The guy really flew off the handlebars. 30 minutes hurling insulates at Steve.

His ex wife did not find him very entertaining, not sure if I can say why on here though. Few years ago a website was set up to expose his past.

I don't know the backstory but Mark really seemed to lose his mind on him. Seems this could have been resolved before getting to this point but who knows.

oh  I didn't know he was married before since he never mentioned it.  His current wife looks miserable and he doesn't get along with the family. It's looks so terrible, I really feel for the guy. He's doing a great job chronicling how to ruin your retirement in Thailand though so there's that.
