Hi Folks,

As the header suggests... Anyone that can share their experience for renewal of Pink ID card and what documents are required? Does a change in visa status potentially effect the renewal of a Pink ID?

Cheers,

I would not know what someone without PR requires, in my case, the blue house registration was only document they actually looked at, although I've also provided certificate of residence (blue or white PR booklet), red alien registration from police and passport. None was touched. They obviously wanted old pink ID which they cut after issuing new one. I got some forms to sign, and photo taken. 20 minutes and 60 baht later I had new pink card in my hand.

The anwer is tha it depends on what the district office (amphoe) requires, as another poster already mentioned.

I only need yellow book Ior Cert. of Residence, if not having)

Pink card is issued on base of yellow book (1st step).

No yellow book, no pink card.

Proof me wrong.

How can I renew my Thai pink ID card?

Renewing and replacing your card is easy and affordable. Whether your card expires or you lost it somewhere, all you have to do is contact the District Office in your local area. Make sure to prepare the required documents, such as your passport and Thai ID number. The fee to renew your Thai pink ID card is 60 baht.

Don't nail me on that.

Everything in TH is office location dependent.  Doesn't necessary mean province or amphur.   2 different DL renewal rules at 2 different offices in PKK province.  That was really strange.

So I would never try to prove anyone wrong.  Just give my actual experiences   People have told me, what 'I have done', was impossible to do, and yet :coffee1:

... go figure.
