Foreigner crackdown and arrests after Israelis go on rampage.

The arrests came after a doctor at Pai Hospital shared an account of what happened on social media, saying that this was not the first time the hospital had encountered rude, aggressive, and law-breaking visitors from Israel.

Pol Lt Gen Saksira Pheuk-am, commissioner of the Tourist Police Bureau (TPB), has ordered TPB agencies to strictly enforce the law against foreign tourists who violate regulations, regardless of nationality.

Rude law breaking foreigners from all over the world here, so why pick out a single race?

In the early 1980s i was good friends with a Dutch guy who was an informal tour guide working with the biggest mountain trekking company in CM.

Incidents with Israelis became so regular that the Thai owners bannsd them outright by nationality.

It would be ludicrous to attribute that action to anything but what it actually was - a considered decision based on their customers behaviour rather than prejudice of any kind.

So we should ban Brits from Pattaya?

You need a wok for stir frying. It's a popular method of preparing food in Asia.

No, they are welcome.

I suppose he was working without a work visa.

Wok Visa's came in much, much later.

I hope yours is up to date.

Got it. Only Israelis cause trouble.

That is a good thing , there's too many foreigners who think that Thailand has no rules or laws and they can do whatever they like

So he was working illegally , whilst at the same time being critical of other people behavior ? .

Anyway, that was 40 years ago

Life was more relaxed back then. You should try to relax too.

Indeed, but this thread is about Israelis.

What makes you say that I should try to relax too ?

Just pointing out that its rather hypocritical of an illegal worker to criticise other peoples' bad behaviour

I directly quoted a paragraph from the O.P and responded to that and the info in that paragraph .

Are you suggesting that that is off topic ?

Israeli is a nationality, not a race. Nationality refers to a person's citizenship in a country, while race is a social construct that often refers to shared physical characteristics.

Explanation
  • Nationality
Israeli is the nationality of people who are citizens of Israel. The Israeli Supreme Court defines nationality based on objective traits like culture, religion, and historical memory.

  • Race
Race is a social construct that often refers to shared physical characteristics. The idea that Jews could be easily designated a race is implausible because Jews include individuals of diverse origins and physical appearances.

Can you produce evidence of this or is this just a vicious and nasty libel?

No.

My guess is that he is avoiding being called an anti-Semite as some people are wont to do when confronted with their behaviour.

Read through his posting history , he even refers to American Jews as being  Israelis

No, it isn't, as working life in Thailand was more flexible forty years ago. He wasn't behaving badly, the Israelis were.

In fact, I used to 'work' at a guesthouse. Welcomed by locals and foreigners alike.

We are discussing unacceptable behaviour.

Produce the evidence. No one is going to trawl through someone's posting history to back up something someone else wrote. He needs to prove it or remove it.

   You guess is wrong .

It would be unprofessional behaviour for a Police chief to state that they were targeting just one Nationality based on the behaviour of a few

You were working illegally as well .

Working illegally was and is against the law , and the Thai authorities found that unacceptable and clamped down on it

This time it was Israelis, and last week it was russians, and the weeks before that, Brits, Finnish, Swiss,

Careful, general.

Go after the wrong criminals, and Trump is liable to sanction you!

Trump really doesn't need to ne mentioned in every single thread .

Israelis misbehave  in Thailand and you think about Trump ?

Could it be that Israelis are psychologically tormented after growing up in a war zone all their lives?
