What's truly sad is you actually believe that. That's why the world has to endure what is happening right now. It's going to take something genuinely horrific to break you out of the spell you are under and see reality. 2

He has virtually no Airforce, no pilots with combat experience, no modern mechanized infantry, no worth a poop air defense systems, no modern tactical doctrine, no combined arms experience and no industrial base to even beat a bunch of rag tags like the Ukraine. He has tanks from WW2 and North Korean soldiers fighting in front of blocking units, his tanks wouldnt make it overland to the German border. He has Drones and missiles. They dont win and hold territory Putin is a revanchist thug running a thug country where one rises to the top by being the tougher thug. He has no ideology but power, for himself and mother Russia. He has a gas station with nuclear weapons, a third world country with nukes, and you wonder how many would even take off. Putin has been playing on, quite successfully, the traditional fear of the Russian bear, coupled with their success against the Germans, but its not 1942 and he doesnt have a lunatic to lose to him. The very fact that the Ukes are holding Russian territory shows how weak he is. But. But. He has the secret weapon. An innumerable supply of cannon fodder, a terrorized population and the asiatic brutality which is inherent in the barbaric soul of Russians. He'll keep going to the last man. When you take into account the fratricidal nature of this war caused by Western stupidity, it serves no ones interest to continue. Let Putin jerkoff in the Donbas ruins while the world moves on, upward hopefully, and after he kicks off maybe, just maybe, the Russian people can do something with their faecalhole country for the first time in the history of that pestiferous country. 1

Whatever "more" the Russians will get, it will be a "windfall-profit" thanks to their military effort. Putin will have to trade something to get the Ukrainians out of Kharkov. IMHO, the key to the whole war was not as much Kiev, as Odessa, since Odessa is historically a Russian city on former Tatar land, if my recollection is correct. I wonder what will be put in place to ensure a non repeat of conflict. Half of this war is based on historical ignorance and Ukrainian propaganda. You see it all the time here. 1

No, I am not happy at all the way things turned out. BUT: After the end of the Cold War, the Russians have never understood why NATO has expanded to the east. Who else is in the East exept Russia? Of course they started wondering why NATO started to get closer to their territory, in a time when officially the Cold War had ended. IMHO, the eastward expansion of NATO was the dumbest thing the "west" has fabricated since the end of WW2. Completely uncalled for. Imagine this: If the newborn Pancho Villa would gather Mexican military forces to re-conquer California, Arizona and New Mexico? As they have been there before? Even Donald and his Muskrat would claim to be "encirceled". Nobody likes to be "ganged-up". Not in your neighborhood and not if States (NATO) do the same thing. I remain, uncalled for eastward expansion of NATO will go down in history as one of the greates "blunders" that the West ever produced. NATO must close the door for potential "Newcomers". Georgia next? Unlike the Ukraine, Georgia could be occupied by Russian forces within 3 weeks.
