The two agreed that the educational systems of both countries are similar. The similar elements include free 12-year basic education. Moreover, a few students from North Korea come to Thailand to study. 
 
The Thai Education Minister proposed that the Ministry will talk with Thai universities with a view to an exchange programme with North Korean universities.

Please post a quote of me saying that I called you a bad teacher or ever used the words "Tourette's syndrome".  What I did say, and reiterate is that you make far too many, mostly insulting, posts based only on false assumptions about posters  and NOT on facts!

I have met Abhisit and although he was born and raised in Newcastle he does not have any twang of a Gordie,  he speaks perfect Queens English. 

  The Thais need to accept that there is only one international language and that is English, if for no other reason than to improve business relations.

About 4 months ago I ended up in ICCU in a government hospital the lack of English was there for all to see, good job I speak Thai, If you were a tourist and ended up in there you have a got a problem,

At least they speak a foreign language, hence know at first hand how complicated that can be. Now who do you want as your children's language teacher? A Filipino or a native speaker who does not understand the basics of language acquisition. 

 

As I stated before, I prefer a Filipino or non native as teacher. Also, who is easier to understand, accent wise, someone from Newcastle, Dallas or Manilla? The latter yes.

I have taught in Thailand and based on that I would have to say they deserve to be at that rank - All most of my students wanted was a report with an "A" without any real desire to actually learn English HOWEVER when I use customer services on say 3BB or Lazada and other services I am surprised how good the English is - so all is not lost.

It is kind of the luck of the draw, though, as Burma got a pretty bad deal from it.  But I think Burma was treated as a big farm.

Burma uses English a lot.  If you holiday in spouthern Thailand, you'll find a lot of the hotel staff who speak English well are Burmese.

You really don't gettit? Myanmar is the name used by the military Junta - both names go back in history - but I'm not going to cow-tow to the Junta - especially as they are losing the civil war at present. So perhaps you need to get up ro=to speed on the history and politics of BURMA!
