A 21-year-old security guard at a Don Mueang school in Bangkok has been accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old student in the school's bathroom. The incident, which happened on February 4, was allegedly dismissed by the school's director, who reportedly offered the victim's family 5,000 baht to keep quiet.

The incident came to light on February 13 when concerned parents, frustrated with the school's lack of response, reached out to the Pavena Hongsakul Foundation for Children and Women.

The worried parents, desperate for justice and concerned about their children’s safety, shared their grievances with Pavena Hongsakul, the foundation's leader. They are urging a thorough investigation into the director’s alleged negligence and are calling for legal action against the accused guard.

Pavena highlighted the seriousness of the situation and announced plans to work with city officials Thosak Chotimongkol and Wantanee Watthana to ensure a comprehensive investigation is conducted. She emphasized the importance of addressing such incidents, which often affect vulnerable young people, to ensure the safety and well-being of students, reported The Thaiger.

Makes you think what the principal has to hide too....

This type of reply seems to be automatic when concerning this topic. The school does not want their reputation ruined by a scandal so it is better if they try to sweep incidents like this under the carpet. No investigation and disbelief something like this could happen by one of their employees.

Imagine the amount they would have to pay if it really happened as the child said? And the loss of students due to the fear in parents that it can happen to their own child. The school gets the double whammy.

But to keep it quiet and let the child suffer is okay. This kind of behaviour has to be cut down. A school director who does this kind of ruling should not be in that chair. A school should be a safe haven for children and not a place where they get raped by an idiot 21 year old dude

It's ingrained for many years that money can buy off almost everything that happens. The only way this kind of thing gets reduced, as it will never stop, is severe punishment for those involved after guilty beyond reasonable doubt. When other disturbed sociopaths see that one of their kind gets life in prison for raping or sexually assaulting a child, they might think twice. A school director who wants to sweep this under the rug never works in the school system again.

i agree wholeheartedly... The school needs to not only admit they are partly responsible they should take action to make sure something like this never happens again.
