I may need to do a Visa run soon as my Non-O retirement visa extension expires on 23 April 2025 and there is a possibility that a further extension may not be granted. The thing is that I have a multiple-entry visa so I will have to leave on the 23 April and return on a visa exemption the next or subsequent day. Which is the least stressful border to leave and re-enter Bangkok.

In Bangkok but the question is if a run is necessary which country would be the least hassle.

You state ....."The thing is that I have a multiple-entry visa so I will have to leave on the 23 April "

I doubt you have a multi entry non O.

In any event seems your permission of stay ends soon.

You can use agent minivan border bounce company.

From Bangkok they will run to Cambodia.

Thanks for that Dr Jack and to be clear I do have a multi-entry I go back to the UK at least twice a year 👍

Not sure when you obtained your Multi Entry Non O

Be aware that eVisa is no longer available in UK or anywhere else.

I am a little confused now. The multi entry was obtained at CW on 23 April 2024 🤷‍♂️

You obtained a multi reentry permit at CW  3800b

You would have reentry permit stamp in pp.

What is expiry date.

How did you enter Thailand?

Meaning visa class

The agent obtained this at CW it was part of the fee. I have got this stamped in my passport. Expiry date 23 April 2025. On my last return in August 2024 I was on the non-O visa.

Ok got it .

You can use agent to obtain another 12 month extension OR kill off your current permission of stay and border bounce for 60 day visa exempt entry.

How do I kill it off🤷‍♂️

Well if I'm following your posts correctly you have a permission of stay stamp .

Prior to expiry you would exit Thailand without reentry permit.

You can then reenter visa exempt with 60 day stamp.

How long do you wish to stay in Thailand.

Yes but because I have a re-entry visa the only way this can work is if I leave Thailand on the 23 April and return on the 24 April or later.

I live in Thailand.

That is correct.

Sometimes esp at airports with only few days validity of reentry permit they may give you option of visa exempt stamp.

So clearly you don't want another 12 months using agent.

Think you are aware of your options

Yes I am thanks. As I said in my earlier thread I have kept a balance of 800,000 THB in my account since 18 January 2024 so all should be fine the only concern that I had was the fact that I did use an agent in the past and if that could be an issue.

Check the air rates to Singapore and Malaysia.  No entry visa is required to either country, which will save cost, if you're in Bangkok.  Personally, I'd fly before hopping in one of those border run vans. Up to you.  I'm glad DrJack was helping you, I don't think anyone else would have been able to get the 'whole' story.

So you're waiting for your retirement deposit to mature, or that's what I'm understanding.

So to be clear....

You plan to exit Thailand and reenter Thailand visa exempt and then obtain a Non O visa and subsequent 12 month extension?

If my visa extension is not approved that would be the plan. I am thinking now that I will return home on 23rd April and return 2 months later with a new passport and before I leave Thailand move my funds to a new bank. I do not want any trace of an agent on my documents 😡

Dont forget the DACS, like Malaysia has an MDAC.

You need it to enter another country around Thailand.

Dont forget Thailand is starting that from May, they say, mentioned.

Asked IO by doing extension, what would be the time to stay out of Thailand for an exemption, as that is a thing from Thailand.

As answer I got, to ask at the specific border crossing.

It seems to vary, I red Laos , bought, red Malaysia, bought and instantly return to Thailand.

Read in this cases bribe.

Red Malaysia 2 days out of Thailand, so everything is possible. But guy could go back after 1 day.

With Malaysia the cases were also then on separate places. Pedan besar and Wan prachan.

DrJack54 do you know if it is possible to make 2 MDAC's?

As I first want to try Wan Prachan to do a same day  return (buy)

But if that is not working , I MUST do Pedan Besar, but then with another MDAC.

On the MDACs you show arrival, where to enter.

We will believe that when it happens.

In any event not of concern for the OP.

Thinking he could have made better plans.
