OK, this is not a retirement extension, but maybe there is hope on the horizon.

Good friends come to Samui for three months every year with a quick break in KPN for two weeks.

Typical snow-birds on a two month visa and applying for a one month extension.

Last year, the extension was whilst they were on KPN.

I had warned them to ask the hotel for a copy of the TM 30, but there was a lot of kerfuffle as the hotel had entered something wrong on it  so there was a bit of to-ing and fro-ing to get it corrected.

Queues at KPN immigration

This morning they have just been to Samui immigration.

No queue, presented documents downstairs, did not need the TM 30, and straight upstairs.

Processed immediately then a 10 minute wait for the stamp and passports back and out.

Start to finish - 20 minutes.

Is this a record?

They are still recovering from the shock :whistling:
