Social Media Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Protests erupted outside Maersk’s headquarters in Copenhagen on Monday, February 24, as climate activist Greta Thunberg joined demonstrators demanding that the shipping giant sever its ties with Israel’s military supply chain. The demonstration, which saw activists blocking the entrance to the company’s offices, quickly escalated as Danish police moved in, using batons and tear gas to disperse the crowd. Greta Thunberg blocks entrance to Maersk shipping HQ in Copenhagen claiming the company supports “genocide” and “occupation.” “Denmark must implement the full military embargo on Israel.” pic.twitter.com/7euUK3pXQU — Oli London (@OliLondonTV) February 25, 2025 Thunberg, now 21 and widely known for leading the ‘Fridays for Future’ climate movement, has increasingly taken a vocal stance on geopolitical issues, particularly in support of Palestine. Speaking in a video posted online, she stated, “We are here to demand that Maersk must stop all the transportation of weapons and weapon components to Israel.” She further urged the company to cancel all contracts and investments linked to what she described as “genocide and occupation” in Palestine. Despite the protests, Maersk defended its actions, insisting that the shipments in question do not contain weapons or ammunition. Instead, the company described them as “military-related equipment” transported under a US-Israel security cooperation programme. “The cargo has been screened and complies with applicable laws,” Maersk stated in response to the allegations. As tensions outside the headquarters grew, police initially attempted to negotiate with the protesters. However, when dialogue failed, authorities opted to use force, citing the demonstration's location on private property. “We tried using dialogue to get the protesters to leave the area,” a police spokesperson explained. “It’s a private area. And in the end, the dialogue stopped and then we had to use the necessary means to remove the protesters from the area.” Thunberg and 19 other activists were ultimately arrested during the protest, highlighting the growing intersection of climate activism and political advocacy in global conflicts. I believe Hamas should be eliminated from the earth. I also have a very negative view of the Israeli govt, which I'm not allow to be specific about, or it will be deleted, as anti sematic. That you can't say anything negative about Israel is a bit telling. So again, who to believe in the news. 1 2

Protesting against war is never a bad thing She was not protesting against war. If she was, she would have her selection of wars that need attention now. For example. - A few days ago, 70 Christians were beheaded in the Congo by an Islamic militia. It is part of the targeting of African Christians. Is her lack of concern because they were Christian? -Islamic militias have so far murdered 100,000 Black Africans in the ongoing genocide in Darfur. They have also raped and mutilated thousands of children. IS her lack of concern because they are Black? At the very least she would condemn the atrocities of Hamas on both Israelis and the Gazan arabs. Apparently, she has no concern with the fact that the Gazans strangled two Israeli infants and then mutilated their bodies, nor is she disturbed by the inhumane shows that Hamas is putting on as it forces hostages to read speeches as they are paraded in public. She is a vile creature and will get her just reward one day. 1
