A man who once won 12 million baht in the lottery is on the run after allegedly shooting his wife in the chest with a .38-calibre handgun before driving her to the hospital and fleeing the scene.

The incident occurred on 25 February at approximately 15:15, Authorities at Ban Khwao Police Station were alerted by Ban Khwao Hospital that a woman had been admitted with a gunshot wound. Officers led by Police Colonel Rattanaphon Thoopkaew quickly launched an investigation.

The victim, identified as 25-year-old Natthada Jatan, a resident of Ban Kut Phai, Ban Khwao district, Chaiyaphum, was initially treated at Ban Khwao Hospital before being transferred to Chaiyaphum Hospital for further care. Doctors found a .38-calibre bullet lodged in her upper left chest, which required surgery to remove. She remains in recovery.

Eyewitnesses reported that a man, later identified as her husband, 44-year-old Songkran Artnonpluey, drove Natthada and her elderly mother to the hospital before immediately fleeing the scene in a white Nissan car.

Investigators believe the shooting took place at the couple’s residence in Ban Don Hai, Ban Khwao district. Relatives reported that the couple frequently drank alcohol together, and on the day of the incident, they had been drinking since 10:00. Authorities suspect that an argument may have escalated into violence, leading to the shooting.

Following the attack, Songkran reportedly attempted to treat his wife’s wound by purchasing antiseptic and cotton wool, but upon realising the severity of her injury, he rushed her to the hospital before fleeing.

Police later discovered the suspect’s vehicle abandoned in a forested area on the outskirts of Ban Don Hai.

Forensic teams inspecting the couple’s home found bloodstains in a storage room, as well as bottles white liquor, scattered around the house. They also recovered medical supplies used to treat the victim’s wound.

Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Songkran, who remains at large. Police continue their search, urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward.

Another lottery numpty knucklehead. Are these people brain dead.

Have a look at the house ....  it's owned by a 12M baht lottery winner,   it needs bulldozing over.

What is wrong with these lottery winners?   a guy wins 6k and jumps in a dam drunk as a skunk and drowns.

This guy wins 12M and shoots his 25yr old wife.

I bet he hasn't got a pot-to-p_ss in now.   They just lose the plot everytime.
