A 78-year-old man has died after being critically injured when a bull charged at him while he was tending to his cattle. Despite efforts by emergency responders, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

 

The tragic event occurred on the evening of 28 February 2025 in Ban Sop Khue, Lom Rad Subdistrict, Thoen District, Lampang Province. Emergency services from the Omboon Thoen Rescue Team and Lom Rad Municipality Rescue Unit were alerted to an incident where a man had been attacked by a bull.

 

Rescue workers arrived to find an unconscious elderly man suffering from severe injuries. He was immediately given first aid before being rushed to Thoen Hospital for urgent medical treatment. However, despite doctors’ best efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

 

The deceased was identified as Mr. Chueay, 78, a resident of Ban Wiang, Lom Rad Subdistrict, Thoen District, Lampang. Reports indicate that he had been herding his cattle in a field when a bull suddenly charged at him, inflicting fatal injuries.

 

Local villagers who discovered the injured man immediately called for assistance. Witnesses stated that Mr. Chueay was known for regularly tending to his cattle in the area, and they were shocked by the sudden attack.

 

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, but it is believed to be a tragic accident.

Well it’s tragic, but at least he went out doing something he seemed to enjoy.
