A 34-year-old man was arrested yesterday after a heated altercation at a traffic light on March 2, where he allegedly hurled a rock at a woman's pickup truck in Phetchaburi province. The incident, not far from a police checkpoint, resulted in notable damage to the vehicle and stirred the local community.

Video footage of the event captured Panuwat, the accused, in the act, which rapidly circulated across social media platforms, igniting public fury. The footage demonstrated Panuwat's aggressive behaviour whilst revealing the shattered window of the truck. His actions have led observers to call on authorities for his prompt detention and prosecution.

Responding to public outcry, Panuwat was swiftly apprehended near Khao Yoi and brought to the Khao Yoi Police Station. During his confession, he admitted his actions stemmed from frustration, claiming the woman's vehicle had cut in front of his motorcycle moments before.

Consequently, Panuwat is facing charges of property damage and is set to undergo legal proceedings that align with Thai law. The incident underscores a broader societal concern regarding road rage and the escalating nature of such confrontations, reported The Thaiger.

Do they carry rocks along with the ubiquitous knives, machetes and sticks?

I saw this on the Yamaha Finn Facebook group.

The rider gets off the bike, with no number plate. no surprise there!!

And runs off to get the rocks, throws them at the pickup truck, and then rides off like a big man does.

He should be banned from driving for 10 years and brought to court, instead punished by the police...I saw the video too and the man is just crazy, but there are many like this...Big fines and punishments are the best options.. He has no license plate so he is not even allowed to be on the road

Bike without number plate.

The perfect criminal attire(must have removed it before attacking passing cars).

Good to know that SOB busted promptly.

Of course, his actions were wrong....

BUT... what triggered him into this aggressive response ??

Mentally unstable and randomly attacked any vehicle ?

OR... Had the Pick-up driver driven in a manner that placed the motorcyclist at serious risk and the motorcyclist took revenge etc ??  - there is nothing of this side of the story in the article, but rightly or wrongly, something caused his anger at the pick-up driver....

Just yesterday I was 'angered' as we were in the right lane to turn right onto the expressway.

Cones placed out so that people 'followed the correct path'... I then had to brake hard as another vehicle went 'around' the cones to 'jump ahead' but in doing so nearly drove into the side of us...  and slamming on the brakes nearly caused the car behind to hit us....

Of course, no further reaction from me, but I can sometimes see why people do react - its the same when on a motorcycle and another vehicle drives in a manner thats dangerous for us....  it can easy trigger anger and annoyance...  (which of course we have to manage).

So... the question here  is - What did the pickup driver do ???

As far as no plates - there are lots of bikes around without plates - the police do nothing.

He confessed to the crime, as shown in the circulated video, stating that his actions were driven by anger after the woman’s pickup truck reportedly cut off his motorcycle, reported KhaoSod.

I wonder why no number plate? We can probably make a reasonable guess though
