The BOI application form says to upload passive income evidence "..in the past 2 years.....". Do they mean to upload 2 years of evidence? Or, 1 year that is no more than 2 years old? Thanks in advance.

Use the contact form on the BOI website.  My experience is that an answer will be received within a very few hours and always the same day unless submitted late afternoon.  Most likely it is for the full last 2 years.  Also, no appointment is needed to visit their facility with your questions.  Counselors will come and sit with you to provide any assistance needed.  Overall, a very positive experience with BOI.

I think that in theory it's supposed to be for the last two years, but I know people who only uploaded evidence for one year (because their income had only recently risen above the threshold) who were approved.

If an American, they really like the first page of your 1040 for proof of income, I had 1099R's, monthly anuity etc but they really liked the 1040. Best of luck, for me the "PERFECT" visa.

BOI wanted two years for mine when I did it last March.  also, last year they dropped the "visit the BOI office for questions" instead asking folks to call or send email.  But they always answered immediately either way!
