Sure seems like it. Unbelievably, Trump is losing to Canada.

There are no winners in a trade war. I wish politicians were banned from any economic activity at all, as they always stuff it up for the common folk. The rich always get richer, the middle class ( if they still exist ) will get by, but those the bottom suffer as always.

Losing?  The fat lady hasn't even started warming up yet.

And, I would add, it's not Trump vs Canada.  It's Trump vs Trudeau and the woke mind virus that would freeze bank accounts of the truckers.  That's just evil.

It's not trump vs Trudeau, he has resigned as of last Jan. and the new leader will be elected this Sunday, your boogeyman is gone on his own terms.

And to turn it around, you're not Canadian, whoever is Prime Minister of my country is no concern of yours or anyone south of the 49 parallel

Good riddance then. Hopefully never to return to politics.

What I think Canada should do to cause some pain is to add an export tax on oil and electricity. You notice Trump has only put  a 10% tariff on energy. The Midwest refineries depends on Canadian crude and the  Northeast depends on electricity.

Fentanyl = non existent problem made up by maga

illegals =    non existent made up problem by maga

unequal trade =  United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement signed by maga in 2020, now violated by ....... maga

Any more imaginary problems?

Fake illegals :clap2:

Canada has more tariffs than the US

There is a very good reason for these putative tarriffs against Canada.

Trump's wife made a pass - and was politely rejected - at Canada's prime minister.

Ffs, give him credit - a less restrained unhinged narcisistic wannabe dictator would have declared war.

And thanks to all this tarrif nonsense the Canadian liberal party will likely retain power in the upcoming election, maybe even with Trudeau at the helm. Good job Trump. You kept your clone, Polly-Ever out of the the PM office.

Most Canadians disagree with you.. and that includes even the head of the Canadian conservatives who is pretty far to the right.

Projecting much?  We haven't even seen what's going to happen.

If the new PM is reasonable, the temperature of the relationship may change immediately.  Perhaps that's why Trump has postponed the tariffs.  Which he really doesn't want.  That's just his negotiating strategy.

Do what you want north of the border.  But don't expect the USA to let it creep south (any more).  Like illegals, fentanyl and unequal trade.

More right-wing nonsense. Very few illegals.  And the amount of fentanyl coming from Canada is exiguous. As for unequal trade, Trump should blame the incompetent who negotiated the trade agreement that was the successor to NAFTA. Who was that person?

As there is no logical economic basis for the introduction of tariffs, the more likely reason for all this is the hatred that Trump has for Trudeau, who will be replaced today, btw. Hold on, did I use the word logical and Trump in the same sentence? Doh!!

Both knowledge and ignorance are no respecter of national borders. What's more, given that members of aseannow.com are anonymous, their claims of nationality are impossible to prove or disprove.
