In an operation on March 7, police from the Special Operations Unit of the Provincial Police Bureau, in collaboration with local authorities, raided a tattoo studio in the Uthai district of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. The raid followed complaints from local residents about a group of men carrying firearms and entering and exiting the area, causing safety concerns.

 

Upon arriving at the three-and-a-half-story townhouse, which was being used as a tattoo studio, officers discovered five men lying on the floor of a large room. Police immediately presented a search warrant and began their investigation.

 

Initially, the officers found multiple firearms, including handguns, rifles, and ammunition. A further search of the second floor uncovered a rifle, while the third floor, which served as the tattoo studio, revealed disturbing findings. Among the items discovered were human skulls, the remains of a fetus, a tiger hide, and a rhinoceros horn. Authorities are still working to determine whether these items are genuine, pending further investigation.

 

Interviews with the six men, who were identified as students of a tattoo master, revealed that the studio catered to foreign tourists seeking traditional tattoos. All six individuals were taken into custody for questioning, and the weapons and ammunition were seized for forensic examination.

 

This raid highlights growing concerns about illegal activities hidden behind the façade of traditional practices. Authorities are continuing to investigate the nature of the artefacts found at the scene.
