A pick-up truck driver lost control and crashed into a barbecue restaurant in Nonthaburi, leaving five people injured. The driver admitted to falling asleep at the wheel due to exhaustion after returning from work.

The accident occurred at 20:30 on 8 March on Bang Kruai-Sai Noi Road in Bang Bua Thong district. Police and emergency responders from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation rushed to the scene following reports of a crash.

Upon arrival, officers found a silver-grey Isuzu four-door pick-up truck that had ploughed into the restaurant’s metal fence and a raised concrete wall. The front of the vehicle was damaged, with the impact also destroying decorative lights, metal railings, and concrete pillars at the entrance of the restaurant.

The driver, identified as 29-year-old Nattapong Senyeoh, and four female passengers sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Rescue teams provided first aid before transporting them to hospital for further treatment.

Speaking to police, Nattapong admitted he had dozed off at the wheel due to exhaustion. He explained that he and his family had spent the day selling goods at the market and were heading home to Surao Kheaw Community when fatigue overcame him, causing him to lose control of the vehicle.

Following the incident, authorities worked to remove the wreckage from the restaurant entrance. Police with take legal action against the driver.
