In Kamphaeng Phet province, a generous resident named Sawai has left a mark on her community by using her lottery winnings for a meaningful cause. Sawai, 55, has hit the lottery jackpot an astounding 70 times, amassing over 1 million baht thanks to what she describes as dreams and rituals.

Her latest win on March 1, which netted her nearly 200,000 baht, spurred Sawai to give back to her hometown. Choosing to invest her prize, she purchased an ambulance for the Kham Phee subdistrict in the Kosamphee Nakhon district. The van was handed over to the Sawang Kamphaeng Phet Dhammasathan Foundation, where its arrival was warmly greeted by the foundation’s chairman, local leaders, and volunteers.

Now, the ambulance is set to serve as vital support in emergencies, aiding injured and ill residents who need rapid transport. Sawai, who regularly visits a local temple, attributes her lottery luck to rituals performed at a spirit house near her home. Here, she lights incense and occasionally dreams of numbers, which guide her lottery choices.

After the van donation event, Sawai resumed her spiritual rituals, this time with incense revealing the number 536. Onlookers, including rescue volunteers, eagerly noted the number for future lottery draws. They also considered the new ambulance's registration number, 6541, as a potential sign of luck, inspired by Sawai’s remarkable run of good fortune, reported The Thaiger.

70 times and it only totals 1mn baht. Why not dream up big winning numbers ?

If you take away this winning it leaves 800k spread over 69 jackpots. Averages out to about 12k per win.

Killer jackpots.

A bit of a sad comment to belittle someone's valuable and possibly life saving contribution to the community where she lives.

Well done Khun Sawai.

Ralph I bet you are a whinging POM. so she won the lottery 70 times and it only totalled 1 million so what, If you are a typical poor Thai you would be happy to take whatever you win and she donated an ambulance to help her community and you are still not happy. You've got a real problem.

Possibly you miss the point of 70 times occurrence of an unlikely event,

It is no doubt worth remarking on.

Jealous, girlfriend likes to play,I probably spent 15,000 baht and she won 4,000 on 2 tickets in 3 years. Me = 0. Saving mine just to give to charity.

Her dream power might expire if she "expects" too much at a time...

Now her village can have a black smoke belching POS pickup with siren being raced around.

Hey, at least she has won something.... and had the heart to give something back.

The people who sell her her amulets should make themselves known.

Have you seen any Thai ambulances that spit out fumes as they run?

I haven't seen any though.

While quite a few songthaews(pickup truck taxi) do...

I’m sure her generosity will help save lives in the future.

Good hearted woman

It would make as much difference to my life as hearing you were run over by a bus, but curiosity is something else
