Looking at a map it would seem Sudzha is now fully taken back by Russian forces.

The blue area is Ukrainian held and the grey area is in dispute. The phone call between Trump and Putin will be interesting. I don't think a 30 day ceasefire will come out of it but if it does one of the conditions IMO will be Ukraine surrendering it's incursion into Kursk. Difficult one as Putin probably won't want a Ukrainian withdrawal from here and will want a total surrender of troops and equipment. Trump will want a withdrawal of troops with guaranteed passage back to Ukraine. This of course could be only one of many points of negotiation. We'll see.

Rubbish. Absolute and complete rubbish. Blue is where Ukrainian forces are. Grey is territory recaptured by Russian forces in the previous 24 hrs. This is in Kursk.

Although this is a heavily Russian biased assessment it's extensive, well produced and shows the progression of the collapsing Kursk salient. If all footage is real i.e. when and where he says it is may or may not be the case but geolocations are mentioned and he does call out fake footage. Also the Ukrainian soldier's accounts in this article and various war maps support this vlogger's assessment. This is very interesting and gives some idea to how brutal this war is, how decision making is crucial, how effective the FPV drones are and how the Kursk incursion is now a total loss.

i tell you why ukraine is loosing.

the main thing is... zombies.. yes it is.

 

orcs are attacking like zombie waved. 1 after another.. 1 after another.. they dont care about the soldiers.. they just send people to die till they get the area. 

 

we stop 2-3 waves.. by saying we stop them.. it means at least 12-20 dead orcs. and many vehicles.. obviously you have no idea what it means. also what it tales to hold this kind of attacks. russia doesnt use any weapon or tech but its own people. it is like this since the 2nd ww. but again you have no idea what im saying because youa re one of that brain washed russian. 

 

of course at some point we need to withdraw. because of ammo and other things. we care people.. we care lives.. we are not russians..

I never said there was an encirclement. I said supply lines have been cut or are in direct line of fire and yes things are moving fast. Ukrainian forces are withdrawing from Kursk into Sumi as fast as they can.

You're funny.

The reason Putin went that way is that means that Ukraine would be required to stop attacking Russia's oil infrastructure. Ukraine has been incredibly effective with that. So on that aspect he's trying to get poodle Trump to force Ukraine to give up one aspect where they are winning against Putin. Putin is playing Trump for the sucker and horrible deal maker that he is. More like fart of the deal than art of the deal. 

As far as arming, it will be interesting whether the Europeans will play along with this surrender plan for Ukraine.

It's nothing really. Although Ukraine has made some deep hits on Russian oil facilities none of them have been big enough to make a difference but this is still in Putin's self interest. As I mentioned earlier I doubted any ceasefire will happen until Ukrainian troops have been completely routed from Kursk which isn't too far off IMO. My guess is Trump has bigger cards up his sleeve to apply pressure to Putin. You're right about Putin and some of us (not many) on here have said that Putin is in the position of power in these negotiations. A thought I have is Putin knows how much of Ukraine he wants to take and when this has been achieved the front line will slow down and once massive defencive lines have been constructed a ceasefire will be negotiated.

He didn't want to "take" any of it.

 

But now that we are where we are, he's going to keep what is now Russia:  Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson.

 

Whether Odessa will hold a referendum and vote for liberation depends on the actions of the nazi apartheid regime.

It was an audacious plan and served strategic purposes at that time. Putin was embarrassed and had to move troops from the heavy fighting in the Eastern front to Kursk.  It was also meant to give Ukrainian bargaining leverage.
 

Ukraine has now have developed longer range drones that terrorised Kremlin and that has given them bargaining leverage. Putin has to concede a 30 days ceasefire on infrastructure attack. They didn’t succeed in Kursk. Military strategy is dynamic as conditions changed.
