Thailand’s Heat Index Reaches Dangerous Levels

Thailand’s heat index has reached dangerous levels, with some areas experiencing temperatures between 42-51.9ºC. Health officials warn residents to avoid direct sunlight, stay hydrated, and limit outdoor activities to prevent heat-related illnesses like heat stroke. The elderly, obese individuals, outdoor workers, and those with underlying health conditions are at higher risk. While some northern provinces saw highs of 38-39ºC, a brief cooling period is expected before temperatures rise again from March 23-28. Scattered summer storms are likely by the end of the month, though this year’s heat is not expected to surpass last year’s extreme levels.

??

What garbage is that?

What year? What month? What country?

All north Thailand and northern Isan are in the mid 20C!

Central Thailand around 30C.

All morning I wear a jacket.

Except for the usual melting oven Bangkok (34) there is no extreme temperatures anywhere.
