Bangkok Governor to Revamp Asoke Footpaths by July

Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt has announced plans to renovate Asoke Montri Road’s footpaths, with work set to begin by July. Originally delayed by the Metropolitan Electricity Authority’s plan to relocate underground cables, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration will now proceed independently. The project aims to improve pedestrian safety, particularly with the rainy season approaching, addressing hazardous conditions like water-splashing tiles. Asoke’s footpaths are vital for commuters between BTS and MRT stations, office workers, and residents. The design, developed in partnership with Sook Asok, is ready, and contractor selection is underway.
