He was elected as a MP   NOT as a PM  he was the leader of his Party and nominates as a PM candidate but failed to be elected as PM,   the whole point is people do not elect the PM  MPs do !!  and in reality the senate should have nothing to do with it

you are simply being pedantic, in order to argue, we all know what happened, most understood my comment...

It is a known fact, 99.9% of the population knows this to be the case, you would have to be a complete idiot to believe otherwise.

You seem to forget the backdoor deal with the bought and paid for UNELECTED Junta installed Senators, otherwise Pita would be in charge right now.

Malfeasance' a word that has found a perfect home here, there are whole ministries like the army, police, the entire cabinet  and justice system devoted to nothing else 🤔

Same everywhere. The leader of winning party becomes PM only here the rules changed and Junta planted Senate got to vote. People vote for their local candidates in the party they support which has a leader of the party which if the party wins becomes PM. There has as far as I know never been an example of this not happening in a democratic election.

You are now starting to get it  THE PEOPLE DO NOT VOTE FOR A PM

While she bristled of course she made no mention of the fact that she's only PM because the duly elected PM was rejected over some bogus stock ownership claims. But the reality was he was just simply too progressive, and too reformist, and the elites and the powers that be simply didn't want him, and were scared of him and the youth he represented.

You were not elected, you were appointed, against the will of the people, and nobody expects you to work for the people. You're working for yourself, your dad and the elites. We all know that, all the Thai people know that, so stop denying it. Why can't you just be courageous enough to admit the truth?

I put him back on ignore, problem solved. 😉

It's ok. We're all different. Thing is we're adults but sometimes it sure doesn't seem that way with some members on here. Some of course are simply nasty rsholes that troll and never answer questions. Not you @MikeandDow. At least your willing to engage. There are a few on here that don't. Some never answer any challenging questions put to them and are just simply toxic.  Not often I use emojis. Shame really. Guess this forum is a bit of a reflection of the expat community a few of which I'm very glad I don't know..

Ok fair enough on this bit of section 28.. No need for section 5 as it doesn't apply. If you get so upset about someone highlighting part of your post by making it bold I have to ask why? What's the big deal? It's not changing anything about what you said it's simply the person responding highlighting the part of what you said that they disagree with. Who cares, apart from you obviously. Grow some nuts and get on with things instead of whinging. I'm assuming you are an adult.

Follow the Rules  its simple !!

This is true but said opinions IMHO should be supported and discussed in an adult manner.

you get what you get !!  for me it depends if i can be botherd or not really going off topic which i dont like !!

Allow me to do a slight edit to this to bring it more in line with reality.

The political tempest dwells on the premise that Paetongtarn might be  is little more than a figurehead, manipulated by her father, the erstwhile leader of Pheu Thai, Thaksin Shinawatra.

you shock me !!!

Point is!!  Dont post incorrect info!   and you seemed to forget if Pita had not been selfish and appointed a second person for PM the MF might still be the elected goverment NOW

How was that being "selfish," by appointing someone else for PM.

Maybe I'm wrong but was the last democratically elected PM not also a Shinawatra? Yingluk, or something like that?

I'm confused which unelected tyrants? I count three elected in the family under discussion, two of which were overthrown by unelected forces ...

What about the soldier who led an illegal coup in 2014 and stayed for nine years? He was a worse tyrant then any Shinawatra.
