This unsettling episode began when the foreigner was seen exhibiting erratic behaviour

Well, another one today.

He was old enough knowing how to behave.

However, he forgot it. Karma 😂

Thats my old neighborhood and there are not a lot of Western foreigners there at all except a few that live there, no tourism. Its stlll an area where a western freakzoid like me gets stared at. Those karaoke folks must have been totally freaked out.

My prediction is Meth or Ketamine.

PS: Bang Pho is a fabulous area with nice condos, many with River View and great transport.

A long time ago my hotel receptionist gf lived in Muang Thon Thani and it was like that. Not a farang in sight. She never wanted me to go out alone there.

This was positively methamphetamine abuse, or kratom, or maybe Red Bell w/ ciggies and laced pot.

No one -- and I mean NO ONE - just drops dead at 28.

He wouldn't even acknowledge the translation app on the mobile handed to him, clear signs of a drug induced stupor.

RIP young man.

Nobody drops off at 28,,,,I beg to differ,,my youngest son did just that at 27...just working at security, they found him in the rest room dead,,

Head hit the pavement pretty hard looking like manslaughter to me

No he got choked I think. They're on video saying to press his throat so it sounds like manslaughter to me too.

I recall a few years back people saying the British Embassy staff were not doing much to help people out with getting help

Just recently the British Embassy staff are certainly earning their money

With the number of Brits involved in Drugs fighting  overstay going broke hospital bills  ect

Plus being jailed

Will still have some people saying they are useless

The worst thing with them is having to wait maybe several weeks for an appointment to see them (if it's still like that). And they charge about double what the Ozzie Embassy charges.
