A van carrying the production team of a well-known YouTuber crashed into the back of a 22-wheel lorry in Nakhon Ratchasima during the morning of 26 March, leaving several people injured.

The collision occurred at 08:35 on Mittraphap Road, inbound towards Khon Kaen, near kilometre markers 203-204 in Kong district. Local police, led by Pol. Col. Rattawit Anandidilakrit, confirmed the crash involved a private passenger van and a lorry carrying asphalt.

Emergency responders from Hook 31 Korat Rescue Unit arrived at the scene to find the van’s front end damaged after it rear-ended the lorry. The lorry itself sustained only minor damage. The van driver, later identified as 41-year-old Mr. Jakkrit, was trapped behind the wheel and had to be extracted using hydraulic rescue equipment. He sustained multiple injuries and was rushed to hospital.

The van was carrying seven people, including the driver. Three passengers were taken to Phimai Hospital, while four others were transported to Kong Hospital for treatment.

The lorry driver, Mr. Chalerm, 50, stated that he was transporting asphalt from Chonburi to Khon Kaen. Due to ongoing roadworks, traffic was reduced to a single lane, forcing vehicles to slow down.

“I heard a loud crash at the back of my lorry,” he said. “When I checked my mirrors, I saw that a van had hit me hard. I immediately stopped and got out to find several injured passengers inside.”

He promptly notified the police and emergency services.

Following the crash, Bow Kanyarat, a popular YouTuber and influencer, confirmed on social media that the van involved was transporting her team to an out-of-town filming location.

“This morning, the van carrying my team was involved in an accident. Several people were injured and are now in hospital. My mum and one of my team members are in the emergency room,” she wrote. “I’ll update everyone as soon as I have more information. Thank you for your concern.”

Police are conducting a detailed investigation, including questioning both drivers, to determine the exact cause of the crash. Legal proceedings will follow as necessary.
