Bangkok Aims to Host Formula One Grand Prix by 2028

Thailand is preparing to host a Formula One Grand Prix in Bangkok's Chatuchak district by 2028, following a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Sports Authority of Thailand and F1. The initiative, backed by Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra and F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali, aims to elevate Thailand’s motorsport profile. While Chatuchak is the preferred location, other venues are under consideration. The three-year collaboration will focus on planning, data analysis, and scheduling, with organisers pledging to minimise environmental and noise impacts to gain local support. Enthusiasm is high as Bangkok edges toward joining the global F1 calendar.
